Until recently, the emby apps on TV and PC were able to play Dolby Vision without any problems. Now the TV app only shows the error message: No valid stream (German: Kein gültier Stream). I use the same TV monitor in both cases. The TV can play Dolby Vision, so I think the TV app probably has a bug since an update.

To put it another way: the data always comes from the same server. One time I play it on the PC using the Emby app (it works), the other time I play it on the TV using the Emby TV app (it doesn't work). So it seems that the error is not in a transmission protocol. As I said, the TV app also worked until a few weeks ago. It would be nice if the programmers would do a little self-test.

HI, what version of the Emby TV app are you running?

It's "Emby for LG 1.0.45".

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

I don't have access to the operating system or any background information on the TV. The movie doesn't start and the error message appears: No valid stream. If the developers don't want to check whether the current app has a bug, let's just forget about it and get back to the important things in life.

Devs need to see server logs as it most likely is not something they can reproduce without specific information.

hi

yes i confirm this problem, hybrid movies dv/hdr always goes on her not dv to play

Unfortunately, there are so many problems to be mentioned, I guess everyone gave up on emby developers, for apple app developers are the worst ever too

If i remember correctly, LG does not support Dolby Vision if the video is encoded with a MKV container. Only videos with a MP4 container will work with Dolby Vision on LG TVs.

Maybe this is the problem?
