softworkz 3989 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 @Adorkable - Do you have any virtualization in place or is the OS running on the hardware directly? Also, for hwa to work with Alder Lake on Ubuntu 22, you might need to install the LTS hs enabledment stack like this: sudo apt install --install-recommends linux-generic-hwe-22.04 Please note that this will change your kernel.
Adorkable 4 Posted December 4 Author Posted December 4 @softworkzI use pve to pass the virtualized GPU directly to Ubuntu. Hardware transcoding of most videos can be performed correctly, with only a few errors. root@kksuper-ubuntu:~# uname -r 6.5.0-44-generic root@kksuper-ubuntu:~# dpkg -l | grep hwe ii linux-hwe-6.5-headers-6.5.0-44 6.5.0-44.44~22.04.1 all Header files related to Linux kernel version 6.5.0 ii systemd-hwe-hwdb 249.11.5 all udev rules for hardware enablement (HWE) I'm not sure if this is because hwe is installed or not

But that's an area where I don't have much knowledge.
