Intel i7-10700T & UHD630 IGPU or i3-12100T & UHD730 IGPU for server?

Afternoon all.

I currently have my server running on a micro Optiplex which features the former CPU and IGPU combo, but have the opportunity to move it into a later micro Optiplex model with the latter CPU and IGPU combo. I appreciate that in doing so, I'll be halving the amount of CPU cores available, but I'll be upgrading the model of the IGPU, so my question is: which is the better/more capable setup?
FYI: all content streamed locally is direct and at most, there are only ever 5 users connected remotely at any given time, who may require transcoding.

Thanks in advance,
L

I would go for the i3-12100T & UHD730 IGPU for server.

Better GPU and more power efficient CPU 😉

I was surprised but by these being T-series CPUs they are pretty much equivalent in terms of overall processing capacity with the i3 having an advantage of better graphics and single threaded performance. Only 2 gens apart, go figure.

The 12100T for sure. Faster single thread for bluray subtitles and better quicksync.
