Strm download from on Emby

If I had an m3u link as a .strm and had a user on emby able to download content would I be able to download from emby using a .strm ?

Actually scratch that, how do I use my m3u as a .strm to use with emby ? How do I accomplish this without going to 20 websites looking and getting malware on my pc ?

Hi @MasterCard,

Just to make sure the use of strm is clear it's a direct link to one specific piece of media.  It's a text file with a one-line entry containing the link/URL of the media.

It should normally be a progressive file that has an extension such as mp4, mkv, etc.  In other words, it's in a format just like you would typically add to a local disk setup in Emby.
