jemmi 0 Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 The generation time of the log file(embyserver.txt) is the correct local time, but the time recorded in the file is not local time, it uses UTC time. Look at two pictures the system is Synology DSM 7.2. emby server run in the Docker Container, the version of emby server is 4.8.8.0. PS : the time of system DSM is correct localtime, the emby server Activity show the correct localtime

darkassassin07 604 Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 As you're running docker, the first thing that comes to mind: is the timezone within the docker container set correctly? You should have an environment variable set within your run command or compose file: Environment: - TZ=America/Vancouver 1 1
bakes82 155 Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 The world works on utc. The ui is just converting to local. Why would you expect the logs to not be on utc
Happy2Play 9356 Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 I guess that can be confusing if each platform is doing something different as my log is local time. But can only guess a combination of specific step.
