从4.7.14升级到4.8之后无法硬解

After upgrading from version 4.7.14 to 4.8, hardware decoding no longer works

 

在4.7.14下一切正常，升级到4.8之后无法硬解，转码界面可以看到独立显卡，但是硬解不工作。

黑群晖SA6400 7.2，独显为GTX1650

 

Everything worked fine on version 4.7.14, but after upgrading to 4.8, hardware decoding no longer works. The transcoding interface shows the dedicated graphics card, but hardware decoding is not functioning.

Using a Hackintosh NAS with Synology SA6400 7.2, and the dedicated GPU is a GTX 1650.

Hi, are you sure you're on 4.8? It looks like you're on the 4.9 beta channel.

4.8和4.9情况是一样的，毕竟升级了不能回退

The situation is the same for versions 4.8 and 4.9. After upgrading, it's not possible to roll back.

Right, in order to roll back you need to make a fresh start, and you can do that by deleting the server data folder:

已回退到4.8，情况还是一样

I have rolled back to version 4.8, but the issue persists.

升级 4.9.0.28 之后情况貌似相同。

After upgrading to version 4.9.0.28, the issue appears to be the same.

I have a ds920+ and haven't run into this issue at all.

You want to install Emby directly and not in docker so it has access to QSV GPU.

Are you trying to run Emby Server on a XPEnology installation?
If so, I don't believe that XPEnology fully supports GPU use as it's not fully supported in that emulated NAS software.

XPEnology is much like an actual Synology NAS so I can help with most things, but when it comes to hardware emulation or device passthrough I'm at a loss since I don't run it.
We do have a good thread specifically on Hardware Transcoding for XPEnology so I'd recommend reading through that thread and if you don't find a solution make a post there for help as you'll have others running it that can assist you.

Since you have both cuvid and nvdec decoder options, did you try changing the priorities to test them both?
