toomanynights 13 Posted June 14, 2024 Author Posted June 14, 2024 Haha, it works now! Thanks a bunch @quickmic! 1
quickmic 1571 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Yes, as you installed the stable repo, there is one for beta as well. But don't do it now, obviously it would not work till I check in the patched version.
toomanynights 13 Posted June 14, 2024 Author Posted June 14, 2024 Surely. I'll wait until the next beta release. Thanks again!
quickmic 1571 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 (edited) fyi, for compatibility reasons, in next beta you need to use the "old" connection string with the "emby" extension "https://42.lw.itsby.design/toomanynights/emby/" Also I'll send you a new test version, probably tomorrow before I check it in to beta repo. Please run a final test when ready, thanks. Edited June 14, 2024 by quickmic
quickmic 1571 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Please test the login, the subtitle and the realtime updates. Relatime updates -> Mark as watched, unwatched is sufficient for a basic test. plugin.service.emby-next-gen-10.0.31 build 6.zip
toomanynights 13 Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 All right: - Logged in successfully - The problematic subtitle works - Sync: kinda works? For some reason that very episode that has problematic subtitle - Vexed (more like Hexed, hehe) refused to sync at first. It was "watched", I marked it as "unwatched" on another machine, the change would not sync. Other episodes would sync instantly, both directions (watched -> unwatched and the other way around). After returning to Vexed, I toggled it a couple more times and it started syncing too. Weird.
quickmic 1571 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Please try this version, if it's still not syncing, please send me a debug log. plugin.service.emby-next-gen-10.0.31 build 7.zip
quickmic 1571 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Before you install from beta, keep an eye if beta repo really holds the .31 version. Sometimes Kodi repo is a bit slow with sync. Usually, I reinstall the beta repo to force a refresh. 1
toomanynights 13 Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 After repo reinstall, says 10.1.0 there. Not 10.0.31
quickmic 1571 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 (edited) 3 minutes ago, toomanynights said: After repo reinstall, says 10.1.0 there. Not 10.0.31 That's the video plugin and is correct. The new "core" plugin is the service and this should have .31 However, if you try to update your productive box, just update the video plugin. The others are updated automatically (as dependency). video plugin is demoted as a helper Edited June 15, 2024 by quickmic
toomanynights 13 Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 Just checked the version of the service. Says .30. I'll check again in a few hours.
quickmic 1571 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Just now, toomanynights said: Just checked the version of the service. Says .30. I'll check again in a few hours. Yep, or reinstall the beta repo from zip.
toomanynights 13 Posted June 16, 2024 Author Posted June 16, 2024 Hmmm. It still says 10.0.30 19 hours ago, quickmic said: Yep, or reinstall the beta repo from zip. Not sure how I can do that on a TV...
quickmic 1571 Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 As you have 9.X already installed, it's quite easy. install from zip and select kodi.emby.tv "folder" and select "repository.beta.emby.kodi-1.0.10.zip"
toomanynights 13 Posted June 16, 2024 Author Posted June 16, 2024 Thanks, did just that and rebooted Kodi. Still 10.0.30.
quickmic 1571 Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 Yep, sometimes Kodi is kind of stupid and caches content. You can repeat the install. Probably unintsall the repo and reinstall from zip. At some point, it will show .31. I also struggle sometimes with that.
toomanynights 13 Posted June 16, 2024 Author Posted June 16, 2024 3 hours ago, quickmic said: Probably unintsall the repo and reinstall from zip Yep. That did it. After a bit of pain of entering password on a TV, it works like a charm! Even the glitchy subtitles work now. They are however detected as "Hindi", but that's a matter of another topic entirely. @quickmic, thanks a lot for your swift help! 1
godfuture 4 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Hi guys, I have this issue while starting a movie with VLC over Yatse on Android. I browse the library with Yatse, but hand over playback to VLC. I have read through the chat and saw there was proposed solution as fix in Kodi plugin. But I still dont understand: is root problem located on server side or should I raise a bug ticket with Yatse (or even VLC for Android)? Thanks for your help!
