Sgjumper82 1 Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 It would be beneficial if there was an option on an episode of a series or a movie to mark it as damaged. That would allow the admin to rescan the necessary disc.
Sgjumper82 1 Posted April 5, 2024 Author Posted April 5, 2024 Reading the helpfile on tagging, not sure how I could apply that?

Think it would make more sense as a user action rather than an admin action. Think of it this way, as the admin you probably watch a lot less of your files than your users do, so the users are typically the people who will be finding damaged video files (or files that should otherwise be replaced because it's the wrong file, etc). I know over the years many people have messaged me about particular files needing to be replaced, and having an option to "report error" for the user on the media page could be very useful in that regard. The list of all the items with reported errors can be shown in the admin dashboard, with the option to clear the errors. Of course this would be ideal for integration with Ombi but just a basic implementation could be very nice. 1
Neminem 692 Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 I use jellyseerr for this. Fallenbagel/jellyseerr: Fork of overseerr for jellyfin support (github.com) Its a fork of Overseerr 2
rbjtech 4811 Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 The only way to do this is by adding to a 'Damaged' playlist - this is one of the few very limited options of user interaction within emby ... The admin can then pick up this playlist and action it. I'd LOVE to see further user interaction options but other than 'Add to Favorites' or 'Add to Playlist' - as users, this is all they have ..
Neminem 692 Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 (edited) Jelleyseerr is quiet easy to use. Same login as Emby user, if you connect them. Users can report problems, with the right permissions. I use this with my mom, she sleeps all day, and watch her tv at night. I do not wan't her to call me a 02:00, because of some subtitle sync issue. And then you as an admin can review reports. Neminem 692 Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 But when thinking about it. Why don't ppl pay attention to the media they add, and see the issues at first watch ? You rip you disk, and check, if audio and video is correct. The only problem I have is subtitles, buy a lot, online and not all have my language on disk.
Sgjumper82 1 Posted September 24, 2024 Author Posted September 24, 2024 @LukeAny way we could see a feature like this in the future? I think this would be really helpful. Maybe just a report button with a context menu like seen above. When your in the middle of watching TV, who wants to stop and pull out the disk and re-rip an episode.
