robertclaessens 2 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Hi, I've been using Emby on Android TV for a while now and I was very happy with how smooth it works. Today I decided to treat myself to an TV since some apps started crashing frequently (not Emby) and I wanted to move away from Android and welcome a new gadget to the family... On my media server I have a lot of videoclips and playlists that I like to put on shuffle when friends are over. On the Android app you can skip to the next video if you don't like a certain song but I haven't found this feature in the TVos app?
Luke 39294 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 HI, yes this is something we need to look at adding into the player. Thanks.

Luke 39294 Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 Hi, we're looking into this. Thanks for reporting.
nicholas_davies 15 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 I want to also chime in on this. The Emby app on the Apple TV is significantly lacking in features compared to the Android TV apps. The skip button is greatly needed 1
Luke 39294 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Hi, the latest update to Emby for Apple TV now has Up Next in the video player, just like our other apps.

Hi, yes I saw the button but when I press it nothing happens. Tested it on two Apple TV's. Also, if it's not to much trouble could you make it that the "next" button is easier accessible? Less navigating I mean. Now I have to press "down" then I land on "info" and then click to the right before I land on "Up Next"

I see the button, I press it, but nothing happens. So I went to a TV Show with several episodes. Started episode 1 and pressed down, navigated to "up next" and there I see episode 2, 3 etc. If I press the next episode it will play. Working as intended, see IMG_0486. But if I go to my Music Videos, press play, navigate to "up next" I see no next video's like with the TV Shows. See IMG_0487. Hope this clarifies things?

I tested a video playlist that is in Music and there is no "next button" (first image) but if I press the ">>" button on my remote (navigate to the right) it will play the next video. In your Android TV app there's a ">|" button which makes navigating more easier (second image, my cursor is on that button)

Hi, music videos are not episodic and therefore do not do this. In order to do this for music videos, try clicking play all on a folder rather than just playing a single video.

I selected "shuffle" in this example and I just tested "play all" but it still didn't show anything in "up next"
robertclaessens 2 Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 I follow these steps: image 1 - From my homescreen I go to a folder I created called Music Videos image 2 - I scroll to "Play All" and click it image 3 - as the first video starts to play I scroll down to "up next" and as you can see there's no next video Let me know if this helps or if you want more info. Again, I appreciate the effort you're putting into this.
robertclaessens 2 Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 In this folder? 1600+ videos. In other folders that I tested it's less (87 videos in one folder)
