Fire stick stops on pin screen

Hi everyone, for a few days now on Firesticks it hasn't been possible to log in to Emby Connect with a pin or even manually (loading and crashing app).
I have a remote emby server.
emby server: 4.8.0.60 beta
this problem only occurred on firesticks (I have two of them, both the same).
Am I the only one or does the fire stick need to be updated?

Hi there, what exactly happens when you try?

it stops on the pin screen, even if I click next nothing happens.
After a few minutes the app closes.

While if I try the manual server I enter the data:
Hostname:
Port: default
then I log in with my credentials, the app remains blocked and closes.

What do you mean by remains blocked?

it remains on this locked screen and after a few minutes the main menu of the firestick returns.

this blocking only happens with my two fire sticks.
via web or smartphone everything ok.

Hi.  Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares?

I tried it with both the Android TV and Fire Stick apk without success.  While it works with the Android Arm7 apk, I can confirm the pin, but then it asks me for the Emby Premiere subscription.  I bought the app unlock for the firestick.  I'm not interested in the emby premium subscription

Hi.  What version of the Fire TV app do you have installed?

If you hit that "Send Logs" button, does it work?

yes, I tried and the send logs function worked.
these are the two fire sticks with the problem.
I discovered today that even an Android TV has the same problem.
While from the web, from the smartphone app and from the Google Chromecast cast, it works normally.

Could it be a problem with an Emby server update?  ( Versione 4.8.0.60 beta )

We haven't seen this in a long time but, on a whim, check the device name of the Fire stick.  Make sure it doesn't have any extended characters in it like accented ones, etc.

I don't remember the exact time but I'm sure at least 2 hours ago.

 

now I sent the logs back a few minutes ago   0.33

It has no special characters, it has always gone before.
then they stopped working

I double checked the fire stick is called.

ok I managed to rename the fire stick to a simple name. But he still can't log in

Hi, I just sent the logs at 00:23 Italian time

Is there a VPN or proxy involved?  It looks like something is modifying the data being sent back to the app.

Hi, no I don't use a VPN or proxy on the network.

I updated emby to the latest update 4.6.0.61

but it doesn't solve

I had a friend of mine do the test with a fire stick and he also turns out to have the same problem.  Isn't it necessary to update the app?

It appears that emby.media/pin has problems in the verification pin

Hi.  I understand that's what it may look like to you but the actual problem is that something appears to be modifying the data being sent to the app.

This works as it won’t ask for Emby Connect but just for username and password and it also asks for Emby Premiere while the FireTV app doesn’t.
