emby cannot keep playback records when using kodi as an external playe

Emby for android TV cannot keep playback records when using kodi as an external player，Is there any solution? Thank you.

Hi, when you use an external player, there is no standardized way to get this information from the player that you're launching.

That means in order for Emby for Android TV to do this, it would have to support each external player individually.

Why not just use the internal player?

I use emby for android TV on Zidoo media player, but it cannot output TrueHd and DTS HDMA audio tracks, so I use Kodi instead.

why not use one of the kodi plugins like embycon or emby nextt gen and just run kodi only.
