MarkTheNewf 3 Posted October 21, 2023 Share Posted October 21, 2023 So I downloaded and set up the WMC for emby theater. Not bad. Not perfect, but good. That stated, when I reboot my PC (Windows 11), it boots back up and autostarts the default ET app and not the preferred WMC version. For the life of me I cannot find the option within the settings to tell the original app to not start and the new one to start automatically. Have I missed something? softworkz 3349 Posted October 21, 2023 Share Posted October 21, 2023 To disable auto-start of regular ET: Go to "Settings" 🡒 "Display" Uncheck "Run at startup" ET WMC UI does not have this option, but you should be able to create a shortcut in the Startup folder. For all users: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup For a specific user: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup To create that shortcut: Go to the Emby start menu folder in Windows Explorer: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Emby LLC Then drag the Emby Theater WMC shortcut into one of the Startup folders Before dropping, hold down CTRL and SHIFT - this will create a shortcut instead of moving the item Restart to verify whether it's working 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have the 'full paid' version of Emby server and probably the windows store version for the ET front end. What version of ET are you talking about and is there a difference? How do I prevent the original install from running? Perhaps I have to uninstall it? That kinda sucks, not gonna lie.
