Carlo 4331
It is briefly covered in this article: https://github.com/EmbySupport/Emby.Docs/blob/master/Remote-Setup.md I added this to my list of edits I'm working on. I thinking it would be good to create a new page with more information concerning NAT/CGNAT, VPNs and other troubling issues that can be added. This new page can then be linked from either of the main two connectivity articles (or anywhere else). This would provide additional space to focus/explain troubleshooting steps without making the main articles longer than need be.

The Mad Titan 4
This is starting to make since port 8096 can be seen but not port 8920. Even though the orts are open on the router could it be a windows firewall issue or somehting like that?
The Mad Titan 4
When checking can you see me depite windows firewall being turned off all the NAT / and port fowarding is correct and set port 8920 is still refusing connection, however all other remote apps on my system works perfectly a couple even without the port fowarding. My Emby server or something is blocking that port and i can't figure it out. this crazy!

On the remote PC, are you using Emby Theatre (either version - desktop or store), or are you using a browser? In which case are you trying by calling app.emby.media, or a direct connection to your server? Either way, are you using Chrome or another browser? The Mad Titan 4
i am using a chrome browser and no i do not have an ssl
pwhodges 1538
No SSL - you should be using port 8096. Chrome - you should check that your call is not being made using https (even if you typed http, Chrome may change it). If you can see https in Chrome, change it to http and try again.
