bearmark 1 Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 I'm experiencing choppy playback (i.e. 1 or 2 seconds, then freeze for several seconds, then a couple of seconds of playback, etc.). Emby for iOS 2.2.13 on iOS 17.03 works fine as does the Web app on MacOS Sonoma in Safari with the same files. At this point I can only get Emby to work on AppleTV at 1.5Mbps on a 50Mbps connection.

bearmark 1 Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 Sorry. After further investigation, it appears that the issue was a congested backhaul at my ISP. It took several days to find it and fix it, but it's working now. I'm not sure why it affected tvOS the most and seemed to work on iOS and macOS. Is it possible that tvOS implementation is more sensitive to latency/loss? 1
