Adorkable 9 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Some audio plays fine on pc and on the page, but on android tv, it says too many errors giving up . Obvious error messages can be seen in the log file ffmpeg-transcode-37ebc2e8-aa73-4ad7-9fae-362f990e781e_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-556bb344-1c1f-4071-9e72-1ba42481ee7e_1.txt ffmpeg-directstream-4249392b-62f2-4e22-a51f-544591994833_1.txt embyserver.log
ebr 15474 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Can you please play that item for a few seconds and then follow the instructions to send a log from the app?

ebr 15474 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Hi. What is this device? It appears to not have the decoders the system is expecting.
Adorkable 9 Posted July 9, 2023 Author Posted July 9, 2023 JMGO projector Also MP4 videos, most of them can be played. Only a small part of the video cannot be played. Set EmbY as an external player, and then use the system by default to play normally
ebr 15474 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 It looks like the decoder implementations are not what the player is expecting. Using an external player on this device may be the best route at this point. Or you can try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares. https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
Adorkable 9 Posted July 9, 2023 Author Posted July 9, 2023 I have tried emby for android. also can't play
Adorkable 9 Posted July 9, 2023 Author Posted July 9, 2023 Can emby convert to a supported format first and then try to play it? Not very convenient to use an external player

It isn't the format of the video - it is something that isn't right with the system on the projector. Can you check for a firmware update for it?
Adorkable 9 Posted July 9, 2023 Author Posted July 9, 2023 I found that converting the resolution to 1920 1080 while maintaining the aspect ratio will do the trick.

Adorkable 9 Posted July 10, 2023 Author Posted July 10, 2023 the same video。Using emby for android will display。 emby for android Version:3.2.92 @Luke

Luke 38955 Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 @Adorkableandroid 6.0 should be OK. can you provide a log from the android app? That should tell me what's going on. Thanks.
Adorkable 9 Posted July 13, 2023 Author Posted July 13, 2023 /Android/data/com.mb.android/files/logs I have checked multiple devices, there is no log file in this path
Luke 38955 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Can you try sideloading the latest build and see if that resolves it: https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
Adorkable 9 Posted July 15, 2023 Author Posted July 15, 2023 version 3.3.18 Still stuck on startup page unable to access software. No log generated

You need to use a special version with the file logging enabled. Can you please try this build: https://www.dropbox.com/s/u1obwrckg4lkjc8/emby-android-google-armeabi-v7a-release.apk?dl=0 And then logs will be written to the path mentioned here: Thanks !
Adorkable 9 Posted July 16, 2023 Author Posted July 16, 2023 This is the log generated 7d74935f-c6a6-4436-bac4-e0da8bd23123.log
Luke 38955 Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Thanks ! I see the issue and it is resolved in the latest build: https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html
