@AP123I've merged your topics. So are you saying that everything is working for you in the 1.4.8 release?

Correct. On my bedroom tv which is a samsung it is running 1.4.8 and the subtitle issue does not exist. I just tested the same video file on both my tv’s. On my living room samsung which tells me the latest emby available is 1.2.6 the subtitle issue exists and I can only circumvent it by importing my own srt files.

Right, we are working on getting our app updated in the Samsung store. In the meantime you can always use our USB install to get a newer version.

Ok great. So this brings me back to my original reason for posting. In June the new update was “coming soon.” Is there an ETA? Thank you for the help.

The ETA is as soon as it gets through the Samsung review process.

Update. I just noticed today my living room tv is now running 1.6.4 version of emby. It says the update was processed in October but I use my emby every day and just today realized functional changes. It seems the 2019 samsung model was approved for app updates.

  • Thanks 1
