davedick 17
I have recently integrated Channels DVR and noticed my guide is showing duplicate channels (one with guide info, one without) I have 2 HDHR Prime & 1 Ceton Proxy setup in Emby with the corresponding guide pointing only to those devices I have Setup a M3U tuner and guide pointing only to that device using (IP was updated): http://yourserverip:8089/devices/ANY/channels.m3u?format=ts OR http://yourserverip:8089/devices/ANY/channels.m3u?format=ts&filter=favorites http://yourserverip:8089/devices/ANY/guide/xmltv?duration=1209600 In channels DVR, for sources, I see the TVE and it also shows the 2 HDHR Prime. I only established a guide for the TVE channels. When I remove the M3U tuner, it goes back to a single channel. I saw this: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/107102-hdhomerun-channels-dvr-integration-bugworkaround-needed-duplicates/#comment-1127162 which mentioned unselecting channels, but the only channels I'm seeing are in the CDVR's channel guide. Any suggestions? Edited June 21, 2023 by davedick

For Channels, if you don't have the channel mapped to the same guide data, it will show up twice and not aggregate them.

For Channels, if you don't have the channel mapped to the same guide data, it will show up twice and not aggregate them. In Emby, I have 2 HDHR Prime and 1 Ceton Proxy, with the internal channel guide pointing to the 2 HDHR prime and Ceton proxy. I added line up:http://127.0.0.1:8089/devices/ANY/channels.m3u?format=ts and guide: http://127.0.0.1:8089/devices/ANY/guide/xmltv?duration=1209600, which I only have this guide referencing the M3U lineup. This is what I see in the channel guide: When I select the 2nd 104 and select edit metadata, I get I do have a channel 6001 in the line up. This is currently how CDVR sources are setup. You mentioned "For Channels, if you don't have the channel mapped to the same guide data, it will show up twice and not aggregate them" Can you clarify what you mean? For example, I have a 2nd Ceton tuner, which I tried running a separate instance (from another computer) of Ceton proxy and adding that as a 2nd tuner, but for whatever reason, Emby would not use the 2nd instance of Ceton Proxy. I figured I would try adding the 2nd instance of Ceton proxy as a source in CDVR and see if it would work that way. When I refreshed the guide in Emby, I saw the same channel twice. That being said, it's been a while since i last tried this. Edited June 22, 2023 by davedick
jad3675 26
Oh, emby doesn't combine like channels like Channels-dvr does. I get around that by using channels-dvr for everything and just feeding the m3u into emby. When you add a source into CDVR, you need to specify a guide data source - either xml, or one they provide. If you have two sources with the same channels but have one mapped to OTA and the other mapped to DirecTV for guide data it won't combine the duplicate channels. I went back and added Guides to the HDHR prime in CDVR and removed the Primes/Prime line up in Emby. Refreshed the guide and now I only have instance of each channel.
