wol not working from ios emby app

Hi there,

I'm tring to wake up my server (version 4.7.13.0) via ios app (version 2.2.8) but it doesn't work.

I have tried some different guides on how to activate wol on pc side and throubleshooting without any result.

I have added even a ddns in the router and the ios app Wolow can wake up the pc.

Now I would try to check if the emby app is sending the magic packet with the correct mac address.

How can I extract the packet sent by the app?

i have added the ddns even in the emby server configuration. wol still not working.

Hi, have you tested it from inside the local network? It’s not supported on a remote connection.

yes in local network it works.

I didn't know remote connection is not supported.

In my server i have installed the plugin ScripterX to wake up the other pc when a user authenticate on the server.

Is there a way to integrate an application or a plugin in the ios app? I hope it's not a stupid question.

HI, remote connections are supported, just not wake on lan over a remote connection. Does that answer your question?
