Some videos will not cast to Chromecast but will play on Emby app for iOS and on Emby on Windows PC/server.  The particular videos are ones I have edited via CyberLink PowerDirector in which I only cut out 1 section within middle of the video then put the 2 remaining clips together before rendering.  File format is .mp4.  Nothing else was changed other than cutting out a portion within middle of video.  The thumbnail, title and progress bar appear on Chromecast but video/audio will not play.  I have tried various ways repeating the process to no avail.  I even tried downloading the video from Emby app to my iPhone 13.  Any ideas will be very much appreciated.

Maybe chrome cast doesn’t like the way these cyberlink videos are encoded.

Well it would be nice if I could get them to become friends.  I kinda thought that was the case being that edited videos play fine within the app.  To further test I will repeat same steps but with a different video editing software.  I'm assuming you didn't see anything in the logs that would indicate reason.  I saw a lot of "error" lines.  I love Emby.  I've been a premium subscriber for years and recommend it to everyone.  Thank you for your time.

Can you provide a sample video for testing?

AC3 audio apparently does not playback on Chromcast.  Your log show this:

18:46:21.479   Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (aac (native) -> ac3 (native))

18:46:21.479 Error while decoding stream #0:1: Invalid data found when processing input

Notice the error refers to  (aac (native) -> ac3 (native)

I think the answer is not to use AC3 at all.  Convert all media audio, ahead of time, to AAC for playback on Chromecast.
