flashmcarthur 1
Luke 37060
Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
flashmcarthur 1
Hi Luke, Yes, I forget the log files about the issue. I tryed from IOS, Safari, over https across proxy reverse Apache https, over the nat router (from out side) The second try, directly to the http internal IP (the proxy reverse point to the same connection) I don't know if is because the source files. All are mkv container with x264 video codec and AAC audio codec (suported by all hardware, and browsers) only Safari have this issue, in part for not support to the mkv container. (Apple rules) But viewing the issue, is that the connection closed when start to send the transcode information, or because the pause of the first transcode part, break the connection, as stoped repoduction. Thanks for you support. ffmpeg-transcode-43ee7c65-fe43-4f1e-80f4-5a6d7b0a2ac6_1.txt embyserver (2).txt ffmpeg-directstream-642af80d-8e82-4fea-8794-4cdbeda15d48_1.txt
Luke 37060
Are you saying it never starts on safari?
flashmcarthur 1
I made more tests. In macOs, (safari) when starts reproduction, automatically stopped. If you wait to view transcoded red line, if you push play, start normally. "Is manually" start when trascode the necesary time to play. In IOS, all the webkit browser, (Safari, Firefox, chrome) same issue, stop at start (no wait transcoded parts), but in this case the play button not apear, only is displayed the waiting circle animation... OperaMini run normally. Because the Safari, is the default browser on apple products, it is boring to explain that will be install the application or use another browser. P.D: I tryed other pc browsers, with content to be transcode (HEIC, 4k, etc...), in this case the web browser is the expected performance (wait circle, and start when the server will have minium time trascoded)
Luke 37060
Hi, for safari, can you try our hosted web app and let us know how that compares? http://app.emby.media Thanks !
ninolopez 0
Saludos
