.strm ohne Transcoding nicht möglich. Warum?

Moin. Ich besitze eine 4TB Cloud auf Lebenszeit. Dort habe ich einige Video-Datein abgelegt. Die Links zu jeder Datei jeweils in ein strm geschrieben. So weit so gut. Jellyfin hat damit kein Problem. Warum auch. Der Server "reicht" den Link der Datei einfach an den Client weiter. Dieser hat doch Internet und kann den Link des Stream einfach starten. Wie z.B. auch VLC. Kein Problem. Das gute daran ist das von meinem Server aus zu Hause kein Datentransfer genutzt wird. Nur kurz die Übertragung der .strm-Datei. Das was wars. Selbst bei FHD Videos kein Problem. 

Jetzt war ich so blöde und habe mir ein Premium Zugang zu Emby gekauft. (Lebenszeit) War ein Fehler. Der blöde Server will ständig die strm -Datei Transcoden. Selbst wenn ich alles abschalte.  So wie in den anderen Beiträgen.  -  Also stream er das Video von der Cloud und sendet es gleichzeitig zum Client. Ich kann es eindeutig am Datentransfer im Netzwerk beobachten.  Bild 1 zeigt Ruhezustand. Bild 2 zeigt strm-Datei von mir zu Hause nach Client über Internet mit EMBY. Bild 3 zeigt die selbe strm-Datei über Jellyfin-Client. Ok. 5 MBit sind auch nur 0,625 MByte. Aber wenn ich nur 4 MByte habe ist das schon blöde wenn 4 Clienst laufen und ich zu hause noch was machen.  Und vor allem Jellyfin belastet mich überhaut nicht. Was haben sich die Programmierer dabei gedacht? 

Übrigens, einen PLEX-Pass habe ich mir auch gekauft. Musste aber feststellen das dieser strm-Datei überhaupt nicht unterstützt. Also 240 Eur für nix (Emby+Plex). Danke.

HI, in this example there was no transcoding. It passed the mkv through your Emby Server. did it play successfully?

And that's what the OP doesn't like at all. Jellyfin is passing the original url of the remote cloud server to the client player. So there's no network load on the private media server with Jellyfin, but it is with Emby.

Die Frage ist: "Wo finde ich diese Einstellungen unter Emby?"

Wenn es diese Einstellungen nicht gibt, dann ist Emby nutzlos. 

Und ich brauche genau diese.  Nur diese zwei Punkte sollen ausgewählt sein. 

Transcoding soll deaktiviert werden

-Allow media playback

-Allow video playback that requires conversion without re-encoding

Nur so funktinieren .strm-Datein auch mit Apple, Fire TV und co. Und keine Belastung beim Server.

First of all I have to apologize. I misunderstood something and confused transcoding with transmission.

 But I'm still mad at EMBY. But I now know that Emby does not transcoding the .strm-File. (If the Max Streaming Bitrate is not on Auto and very high. I set the value to 1000 Mbits/s., pic 1)

Now the strm file is no longer encoded but played directly. "direct playback pic 2".  But then I still have data transfers on my server as already described. 

Emby takes the strm-file from the cloud and sends the video to the client without transcoding. Jellyfin simply sends the strm-file to the client. 

If you choose an external player and play the films with VLC, then you can see where the URL came from in the history.

So my question should have been: Why is Emby doing this? And where can you change that?

We don't play remote urls directly with store apps. We can't verify the legality of the content and the app stores track any domains contacted by the app. It puts us at risk of violating app store policy regarding piracy.
