jang430 7
What do I put in the emby app for server? I put in http://1234.xxx.com, but what do I put in port number? I can access it successfully via browser, http://1234.xxx.com, works perfectly.
Luke 32900
Hi, sounds like port 80 based on that url that you used with the browser. But you should know your own url and port that you setup the remote connection with

jang430 7
My domain name came from porkbun, but changed the DNS to point to CF, I think that's what I did. Even without changing SSL encryption mode from Flexible to full, I can use https, 443 on the app settings? What happens if I use email as protection for the emby app? Isn't it it will ask you to enter email, and give you otp? If I'm using emby app on ios, how do I do that? If using CF for emby streaming isn't suggested, are there any other solutions without opening ports? Thanks @pir8radio

Thanks @pir8radio yea flexible just means from client to cloudflare its encrypted and from cloudflare to your emby server is not encrypted. but end clients will see a secure site on https. full means its encrypted from client to cloudflare and encrypted from cloudflare to your emby. email protection? like via cloudflare? i have never messed with that. There are other free tunnel services i think, but cloudflare might work for ever might work for days, worth the risk to keep trying it.
jang430 7
I think I won't risk running emby server on CF. But it's good they provide this service for free. I can manage my nas without problems, and other apps. I do need a suggestion though how to run emby server without opening ports, or using vpn, or CF tunnels. Are there any? Yea if you're just using it on the local network then you don't need to open any router ports.
jang430 7
Correct. Unfortunately, I share access to others who aren't very tech savvy, and having them configure vpn would be too technical.
