Emby creating extra artists and misidentifying artists.

@Happy2Play, @Luke I had suggested adding it to the Knowledge Base don't know if it made it. But should at least be a standard triage question "What container ?"

So it looks like something with the container itself.

I inquired about this on the musicbrainz forum, and they provided this solution:

It appears to work on the ones I've tested so far.  I don't know if the same script will work in other programs as well.

I have already found others, but they were already in emby before rescanning and restarting the server.  I'll keep an eye out if the error pops up again for any added post restarting.

I don't doubt that everything you said was correct.  Just, after I added that script to "flatten" certain tags, I haven't come across the m4a problem again.

Kind of a separate issue, but I figure it's similar enough to keep it in this thread:

If you look at the artists for this release:

GZA/Genius is in the whitelist for artists with " / " in their name.  And it works if he's listed first in the track (As you can see in tracks 3, 12 and 16).  But, in the last track he's listed 2nd, and emby then splits the name into two different artists.  Which throws all the artist tags in that track off by one.

I don't know what the fix would be, but I'm bringing it to your attention incase there is a way to keep white listed names together no matter where they are in the artist title.

Only guess would be track tags.

What does ffprobe show for the track?

I'm not sure how to look at it in ffprobe on a mac. I mostly just use picard. But I've attached track 12 (where it works correctly) and the last track here.

Not entirely sure but it is an easy fix editing Artists in the UI.

But may be something @Lukecan see.

Only thing may be Composer parsing but didn't actually affect Composer tab.  Didn't do any testing removing tags.

Sort of.  Note I was testing on beta server also.
