password issue

Hi

 I have had to start using Emby. It is installed and ran well yesterday, was able to get in with my DSM pwd and configure on browser. App is also installed on Roku. All was well yesterday. Today, I try to open it on browser and I get a message saying pwd is incorrect.  This is inaccurate as I can log in to my NAS. 
On Roku, the server is working. 
I try to ssh into my NAS and see if I can't reset emby password, but the few instructions on the web/emby community is not clear. 

 

now I have deleted various files including the Embyserver via SSH and am no longer able to reinstall at all. (I did manage to reinstall) but the password issue is persisting. 

can someone send me step by step instructions for this? I am reasonably comfortable with Linux..
