dugalle 0 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 I stored both the Blue Planet(TVDB.ID74372) and Blue Planet 2(TVDB.ID330942) on the server, and in different directories. The two series have the same episode name. The emby server identifies two series as one.So how can I make the emby server distinguish them?
Solution FrostByte 5258 Posted October 2, 2022 Solution Posted October 2, 2022 Try naming the season folders just like they are on thetvdb and you can place the (year) after that which may help. Here's a link to the kb Emby TV Naming : The Blue Planet (2001) Blue Planet II (2017) 1
Happy2Play 9446 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 If you want to keep similar naming, then you need to make slight adjustment to id. ID Tags in Folder & File Names Emby can also read a Meta-Data ID from the name. Format: Name (Year) [tmdbid=xxxx] Example: Alone (2020) [tmdbid=509635] Emby supports the following tags with the host website for lookup. tmdbid (https://www.themoviedb.org/) imdbid (https://www.imdb.com/) tvdbid (https://thetvdb.com/) But Name (Year) usually is all you need. 1

Thanks, I wasn't sure you could still use the tmdbid in brackets as I couldn't find it in the kb
