vult2k 2 Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Would it be possible to release a version of Emby Server compiled for Windows ARM64? I am currently running the AMD64 version on Windows 11 using emulation and while it mostly works, there are some performance issues particularly when I'm recording from OTA box.
vult2k 2 Posted August 23, 2022 Author Posted August 23, 2022 It's a Windows 11 (Arm) VM running on macOS via Parallels Desktop.
Luke 39817 Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 OK, yea we can certainly put it on out list of things to explore. I'm sure it's doable. Thanks.
HyperLifelike 2 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 (edited) IS there any progress on this? Emby theater does not work with x64 emulation, it would be great to get a native ARM64 build. I'm on Surface Laptop 7. With windows pushing ARM more and more this is becoming more and more relevant. Edited February 17 by HyperLifelike 2
HyperLifelike 2 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Is there a decision on this? Is it in progress or planned for the near future? I am on a Snapdragon X12 Elite Surface Laptop 7 with Windows Arm. I am using the Emby app from the Microsoft store, which does not work.
Luke 39817 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Hi, I don't have an ETA but it's definitely something we can look at in the future. Thanks.
HyperLifelike 2 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 OK thank you. Do you mean it is not actively being looked at? Sorry it just sounds a bit ambiguous. You did say the same 3 years ago. In fairness, I think we are already in the future.
Luke 39817 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 We are not actively working on it right now, but given enough user demand it is certainly something we can do.
