Firstly let me just say I am completely new to the Metadata Manager as I was using Meta</Browser> to handle everything, but with all the issues it has been having lately I decided to lower the load on my server and uninstall it and just use the Metadata Manager (MM for short) from now on. Now I understand this is spose to be a completely auto system that gets all the information you want and you only have to edit when something is wrong, but I would like to see the feature set grow in the future to make it a full fledge Metadata Manager.

1. Monitor the folders for new shows, when detected auto rename Movies, TV Shows and Episodes to a predefined structure (EG from The Simpsons - 1x01 - Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.avi to S01E01.avi) then download meta data.

2. Ability to add more information to the one screen, Example when you click on a show it brings up all the information on the right hand side, what I ask is there a way to center that information and have the images on the third column making it less clicks and easier to organize the data.

3. Ability to highlight Movies and TV Shows that have missing information and Images, I know currently there is a small icon but having the name of the Movie/TV Show show in a different colour would be easier to identify, especially if you highlight the parent TV Show if there is episode information missing.

4. Download Information and Images even if the folder is empty: for upcoming shows (EG Constantine) - Also maybe introduce a new state when viewing in MBT or MBC like the viewed icon but for upcoming shows

5. Add More Fetchers: I know IMDB, TMDB and TVDB are the main ones to get information from but there are alot of good Anime, Adult and Sports Meta providers that would be useful to add, maybe as a plugin or option.

These are a few ideas I have had, I know not all can be implemented and you probably don't want to clog up the servers for lower end systems, but I hope this starts the conversation and peaks a developers intrest to see the MM become a full fledge system.

for point 3 you can use the report section with the filters to identify which shows , seasons or episode need info or images

for point 5 Anime has its own plugin that uses anidb

I don't think that the Anime plugin is working that well anymore.

Also, there was at a time an Adult meta data plugin but I don't think it works anymore so was removed.

The anime plugin works great....havent had a issue since the last update. Have you run into any problems with it?

Well, I'm not really sure. I was expecting more from the Anime plugin. It doesn't seem to be doing anything for me. When I check my anime in the meta data editor there is no anidb id. I think all the meta data I have is just what is on thetvdb.

I'd like to add one extra request which is a "Rename" button so that you can tell the server to rename the movie, tv show, episode etc. For example after you identify a movie you may want it to rename the folder that it is in and update the filename. Currently i use MediaElch for this before adding it to MB3 but i'd rather add it to MB3 then use the metadata manager to identify and rename it.

Another request, after a few hours playing with MM

- Instead of a blue rotating wheel maybe give some indication on where it's up to when doing Full Rescans - or have the blue circle with the ability to 'See More' like when you move a file in Windows.

Does not point 1 already exist? at least for tv (look for Auto-Organize in the server settings)

But not for specific folders but a "sorting" folder, and that imo is how it should stay :)

and 5 should be up to other developers to implement

but the others look fine!

Another intresting thing I came across this morning.

- I use my own custom sort names, but if I perform an Advance Refresh and tell it only to replace missing data and images it removes my custom sort names? Not sure if this is a bug or if this is what it is spose to do.

The Auto-Organize helps to the point where it will monitor the download folder, so sort of fixes the issue, but if i rip some dvds, it means I have to rip them to my download folder for the program to do the renaming, what I'm suggesting is a way that the server keeps an eye on the actually media folder and renames files where required.

Maybe another feature is to add Movies to the Auto-Organize as this would help rename folders correctly, and base it off renaming the folder either off the main title or Sort Title.

But, if you are ripping a DVD you simply name the output file properly in the first place and MB will pick it up automatically.

However, I will say that ripping directly into the media folder is sometimes problematic because it takes so long and the server will sometimes attempt to scan the item before it is finished.  It is usually better to rip to a temporary folder and then move it into the library.

Yeah this is what I've started to do. No biggie

In terms of the feature for Auto Renaming folders for movies, how hard would this be to implement?

Does anyone know an easy way of renaming folders to match the local title of their movies and TV Shows?

Folder: 1951 - Alice in Wonderland
Local Title: Alice in Wonderland

So the ability to rename 'Folder' to the 'Local Title' name. I have alot of files with the year in front from a few years back but now I hate it, is there a easy way of doing this?

Amazing work! Love the program and have been using it now for quite some time.

Would it be possible to get more Meta Data fetching programs going? Point 5 at the top? I saw BeardyName say that it was for other developers to do. Is there any efforts currently underway to address #5? Any updates on this would be greatly appreciated!
