Silvino 0
ENGLISH: I use the Portable Version of Emby on a 4TB External HD. Everything is there, mapped with the letter Y. Is it possible to implicitly inform the current drive letter in the libraries path? For example, if I connect this External HD to another computer, and this new computer gives the hardware the letter "D", there would be no way in Emby to use some variable of type %currentdriveletter% instead of me having to assign the letter Y to the External HD every time it was connected to a different PC? Luke 37014
Hi, there is currently no way to do this, so you'll probably want to make sure it always gets the same drive letter. Either that or you'll have to update the library in Emby library setup when it changes.
Silvino 0
ENGLISH: And wouldn't there be a way to inform only the path, without the drive letter, and in these cases, Emby implies that it is the existing drive in the same path of the EmbyServer.exe executable? There is currently no way to do that, but in future updates we plan to make it easier to move libraries from one location to another, and that should help with this when the drive letter changes. ManuJapan89 2
i suggest to use windows disk management tool to change drive letter of the external disk from X(example) to what emby expect. a change made with disk management tool is permanent until you change again.
