I'm trying out the IPTV functionality on Emby and I had hoped that it for the most part avoid transcoding but even watching it locally on the same machine as the server seems to cause a transcode for bitrate reasons?

Hi.  IPTV isn't local...  in any case, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

I'm aware IPTV isn't local. However I had hoped it wouldn't be so quick to transcode when it aught to be able to have the endpoint stream it itself or at worst have the server proxy it. At the very least the reason given on the dashboard must bewrong (My bitrate limit is quite high).

Logs are attached, thanks.

Looking at the last example you had the in app quality setting set to 4 Mbps but the video bitrate was higher than that.

Hrm weird. Maybe I set that whilst testing something else. Setting it to auto resolved it however it still fell back to "container not supported". I assume the emby web app doesn't yet support native IPTV streaming?

Finally - It would be nice to expand the dashboard error messaging to display which bitrate setting was exceeded so I can see that without having to investigate logs. :)
