Hey guys,

Lifetime EMBY subscriber here, and I JUST purchased the 4 pack of the above plug-ins...

Can anyone please point me in the right direction as far as how to set these up please?

The info within the plug-in itself is pretty sketchy, and I'm now quite sure WHERE to start!

As usual, thanks in advance for any help you can provide!!!

Hey up,

not sure what do you mean, not much to setup there, just install plugin(s) of choice and restart server, you'll get few new scheduled tasks. To make use of them, enable theme songs/theme videos in your client app - note that not all client apps support video backdrops, but AFAIK all support theme songs..

Did you get your licence key from the dev and have you entered it into the plugin?

Once set up, check the schedule tasks and run it.

IIRC those plugins do not require license key (only YTrailers does) - but then again, it has been quite a long time since I got them, I might not remember it correctly.

As stated above, AFAIR there's nothing additional to do after installing and running scheduled task either manually or automatically on schedule; the key you received is actually your Emby Premiere key as a means of confirmation that you purchased plugins with same mail your Premiere account is associated with; if you did it form another mail, you can PM @radeon or @ebr to get you sorted out. It can take up to 24hrs for the plugin to get registered, so if you purchased it today I'd give it till tomorrow if it still ain't working.

Hi all!

So I have just added the movie theme song plugin and run the scheduled task. I've come across a problem with duplicate movie titles.

For example Aladdin (1992) doesn't get given a theme song, but Aladdin (2019) gets a track from the 1992 version. From what I have read on other posts the plugin is merely a means to downloading the tracks and that I could do it all manually (assuming I had the time and source material).
My folders are all named [Title] [Year] [FORMAT] i.e. Aladdin (1992) (BD). Both versions of Aladdin are stored on the same drive.

Is there a solution to this problem as I have plenty of films that will be effected, to name a few;
The Addams Family (1993 & 2019)
Midway (1976 & 2019)
Beauty and the Beast (1991 & 2017)
The Jungle Book (1967 & 2016)
The Lion King (1994 & 2019)

Cheers

Hi,

I have a EMBY Premier subscripsion too, and have the same original problem, installed the pluging and "nothing" do nothing.

I went to the "scheduled tasks" and manually run with this results:

I paid for a licence key, but in all heavens, where I can put the key? It is not place in all de pluging page to put it.
I attached, how my emby looks with the plugin, and the "not" space to put the licence.

Any real help.

Having the same problem here, just purchased the TV Video Themes plugin but I used a different email when i did the checkout with Paypal which is different from my Emby subscription email. Where and to whom from the plugin team should I reach out to?
There was no mention on the plugin page itself to use the Emby subscription email when checking out via paypal (if there was, it definitely wasn't made clear enough)...

hi, was just told by @radeonthat since I purchased this via the plugin catalogue it can't be sorted by him.
Who from the emby team that I can reach out to in regards to correcting my email used for purchasing this plugin's license? I'd like to reiterate again, the plugin catalogue page didn't make it clear which email that I had to use to purchase the license of the bloody plugin.
Like most people, I don't use the same email addresses for emby and paypal.

I think we've crossed over here, I've just PM'd you with the solution 🙂

Please don't swear, we like to keep this place friendly and whilst I appreciate you might find it frustrating, I've been out of the loop since my dad passed away and it's fairly quick to solve now we have the right people on it. 🙂

@radeonI am currently having an issue with the Movie Theme Videos plugin.  The plugin starts and then freezes just a couple minutes in.  The process stops at about 50% and never advances.  I jumped into the logs and this is the last set of entries for the plugin.  After this set of entries, there are no more entries for the plugin.  So I have to wonder if its trying to download or copy something and it just freezes at that point.

It froze at the same point the last few times I have run it.

Couple of things there. 1st, we said in the other thread about leaving it a few days before running so I can clear our the oversized themes.

2nd, looks like your ffmpeg instance is hanging out when it's trying to normalise the audio.

I personally don't used the normalisation feature anymore as they're all at a decent volume now after they were processed server side. I'd just turn it off. All the same, I'd wait until I've cleared out the large themes. I'm just waiting for everyone to have adopted the new version of the plugins that were released the other day.

Thanks a lot for the reply!

Just wanted to say, about two years ago, I restarted EMBY, did a full reinstall, and after turning the plugin back on, it worked without a hitch. It’s been running smoothly for two years now, and honestly, it’s been great. I’d totally recommend it!

It’s awesome how we can help each other out like this. Appreciate the support and attention from everyone.

Thanks again!

Hi,

The Theme Songs and Videos Plug-in only shows on catalog if we have Premiere? I don't have it at the moment but I went to Catalog and I can't find those plug-ins.

Thanks

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone else noticed that the 'Movie Theme Songs' plugin downloads random content instead of the correct theme songs? I have been storing some Kim Ki-duk movies recently, and this plugin has been downloading random music from the internet that has no relation to the movie. This hasn’t happened rarely with only Korean movies or that have generic names, but even with Hollywood movies that have unique names, such as The Royal Tenenbaums, instead of not downloading anything at all, it downloads something randomly. When I checked using online tools and AI, I found that the downloaded theme had no relation to the movie.

Can we take a look at this issue?! I just downloaded Would You Rather (2012), but the plugin gave me a Zico Chain track called W'here Would You Rather Be?'. Is this expected behavior due to the similar names, or does the plugin seriously need some fixing?

It uses the tmdb I'd to identify the theme and also uses that in any contribution network upload so a couple of things could be going on.

1 you have the wrong id set for your media item

2 the uploader had the wrong id set for theirs

3 the uploaded just placed the wrong them in the wrong item and uploaded it.

I used to provide an automated theme reporting facility would actively take themes out of circulation however it wasn't used once, so I couldn't maintain a feature no one was using.

If you delete the them from your collection, the theme won't be deleted again.

@VoidEmperorI saw you disagreed with my earlier comment, happy to clarify if something wasn’t clear or if there's a specific part you're taking issue with?

Just to be crystal clear on how the plugin works: it does not pick themes based on the movie name or any fuzzy logic. It strictly uses the TMDb ID assigned to the media item. That ID is the backbone of how the plugin fetches and uploads content. If the ID is wrong on either the user’s side or the uploader’s side, incorrect themes are the result. It’s deterministic, not heuristic.

I get that a theme mismatch might feel like a plugin issue, but unless there's a bug causing the wrong ID to be used internally (which I’m open to investigating), this is almost always due to bad data coming from either the user’s library metadata or the contribution itself.

I previously built a reporting system that let users flag bad themes and get them pulled. No one used it, so maintaining it became dead weight. If that's something people want revived, I'm open to feedback, but it needs actual usage.

Let me know where you think the plugin logic is flawed or what you think it should be doing differently. I’m not being defensive, just trying to solve the right problem
