Live TV Thumbnails

RunDMC

Recommended Posts

I have Live TV set up successfully via a HDHomerun Duo.,I can record programmes and I have full EPG via tvheadend. I have loaded channel logos for all channels in the guide and everything works well. The only problem I have is that there are no thumbnails for live TV. I think this used to work, but since I added the EPG source, the "live" thumbnails have disappeared.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

R

@RunDMC I don't recall ever having thumbnails for Live TV using Emby Guide Data. I'm curious now if there is a way to get them to work.

Just to clarify, Emby Guide Data does have images and thumbnails.

Using emby guide data it auto loads it perfectly, using m3u xml source not the best idea. If you have an hdhomerun what do you need tvheadend for ?

It just depends on whether or not your xml has epg images or not.

Almost all xml has some images but emby is a home media server so imo this also is with live tv meaning an hdhomerun connected to emby. Not a 3rd party m3u list from someone elses server other than your own, just expect glitching or the 10 second rerun where it plays the same thing over skipping back 10 seconds. Emby works great if your live tv is in fact "your live tv" not an m3u. Although yes it does work but not stable.
