Whenever I try to play something on my Samsung smart TV all I get is a playback error.

Any help please

Hi there, what does the error say? What version of the Samsung app do you have? What are you trying to play?

Hi,

It says, Playback error, no compatible streams are available. Please try again later or contact your administrator for details.

Emby for Samsung 1.0.94

I was trying to watch a film, but it doesn't matter what I try to watch, I get the same error.

OK, I would suggest updating to the latest version of our app using the USB install method:

https://emby.media/emby-for-samsung-smart-tv.html

Unfortunately Samsung is no longer accepting store submissions for your older model so it's never going to be able to go past 1.0.94.

I'm not sure of the model of my TV, which version of emby do I need?

Thanks

OT: You need to apply the inotify patch to your Synology.  Looks like most libraries show this.

Your version of the server is fine, it's the Emby Samsung app that is a little out of date for the reasons I mentioned above.

Ok, I'm now running version 1.1.04.

Still getting the same error

Can you please post the media info of the file you are trying to play?  Info from the details screen on the server is fine for now.

Details attached.

Although it seems to have a problem with all my videos

If you put the video on a USB stick and connect that to the TV, is the tv able to play it?

Posted

It can yeah.

It used to work fine but just out of the blue, it stopped.

Can you provide a copy of the video for testing? Thanks.
