Subtitles in middle of screen apple tv

Subtitles appear in middle of screen and cover the content. Anyway to move?  There are no size or location options for subtitles on apple tv

What type of subs are they? If they are PGS format, I would say they were stylized that way for the movie.

The same shouldn't happen with plain text SRT subs.
