plittlefield 48 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 (edited) A friend watched a video from my server last night, stoppped it from their tablet and went to bed. According to my server, the video is still 'direct playing' this morning but the controls to stop it are not visible. The video is playing but seems to be stuck on timecode 1:57:21 / 2:07:18 Chromecast Emby for Chromecast 2.1.0 Is there any way to stop this from my end and what should my friend do to debug and stop it from their end? EDIT: I have tried just stopping my server for 15 mins and restart it again but that didn't fix it Edited August 9, 2021 by plittlefield
Carlo 4552 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 Hi, This sounds more like your friend paused the video instead of stopping it. That would explain what you see on the admin console.
Solution plittlefield 48 Posted August 9, 2021 Author Solution Posted August 9, 2021 Indeed... they thought they had stopped it but in fact just turned off the tablet... so it was still 'playing' on the chromecast screen when they went back to the TV today. So, they restarted the Chromecast and it then stopped the session on the Emby server and all is well again. Lesson learned Thanks.
