I usually just only skip intros and haven't seen this issue yet, with one exception; PGSsub on Chromecast. @bjerneI'm really curious as to which device (Chromecast, Google Chrome, TV (which brand etc)) exactly which subtitle (format, external/internal) you're using that causes this issue. When I started working with media server I found a bunch of issues with any type of subtitle except for srt so I ALWAYS extract srts and since I've been doing that I haven't had any issues with subs anymore. Maybe it's a stretch but I also noticed that Emby skips seconds when seeking. For example skipping from 00:23 -> 00:33 -> 00:40 -> 00:50, like some rounding is happening when seeking (at least on my Samsung TV).

@MrHerpsdo you still have the original file? Have you tried playing (both) the video files directly through the same video player (for example VLC)? What's the audio codec, which format etc and which device are you using to listen to them? In my experience I also noticed some reduced audio when the provided audio is in dolby (surround) but when using a headphone (stereo) causing audio channels to be discarded. That was only for specific audio codecs tho.

Hi Frostbyte, I've re-downloaded the Github version again but put it on a different USB this time and it's installed all fine. Not sure what happened when I did this process earlier unless it was finding the older emby.tmg of the previous version (but expect the newer version should have overwritten onto the USB). All good for now then and appreciate the prompt response and help here.

Try downloading from GitHub again. The latest version is 2.1.2 and was uploaded on 26 Jun. The release notes post was just never updated. Works fine here and we should have about 10 days left before it expires.

The Windows Store is not as bad as people believe. I only realized that when looking into it during development. It's merely an auto-updating mechanism. You don't need to be logged in to the store for installing. You can also ask Google for "windows store download msix" and you will quickly find instructions how to download. Then you can install manually.

You totally misunderstood....I wasn't referring to the number of videos...but to which specific video. More to your point: you can't choose to play just one video and have it be video no. 3 (let's say)

Yup, the certifications bit Although the Cinema Intro plugin works just fine, Vantage Point has a bit more options: like certifications. And Brojbeanu is wrong: in Cinema Intro plugin you can choose how many intros to play from a folder with multiple items. Used to use it before I switched to Vantage Point. Maybe you guys can insert some settings in Cinema intro for certifications intros.

Hi Luke, any update on if it will show in the Samsung store now? Samsung Emby stopped working this week from the sideload because it's been more than a month since the last build release. I've been checking here each day for a new release but nothing here as yet. I can't even reinstall the previous build as the TV shows the error "emby.tmg, The application cannot be installed because the validity period has expired. [-6]" So if the app is still not in the Samsung store for UAE then can the team please rev up the current Samsung TV build and re-release today, or otherwise publish the next version to sideload? Either way a solution is needed immediately for users of the manual sideload method on Samsung TVs as otherwise Emby cannot be used at all. If you have another workaround or solution then please advise. Thanks for your help.

I disagree... I don't like the Microsoft Store. I don't understand why you're forcing us to use it. Is this like a hostage? Where is the freedom??? We want to use the regular setup.exe file. I see that the old version 3.0.20 from 2023 is available. Can't you update to a newer version??? emby-theater-windows 3.0.20 I know that in the future the old version of Emby will stop working... That will be a big problem. Please respect users who want to use either the Microsoft Store or the classic installer (setup.exe). You can't force us to use only the Microsoft Store.

And you've used the same connection details in the browser and the tv app? I mean IP/hostname or domain name and local Emby user account vs. Emby Connect. Do you have set a maximum streaming limit for your Emby server or the Emby user?

Yes, thanks. I have seen that. The build is broken. Meanwhile, you need to step a few versions back: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.SDK/tree/e5cfb863d227ee1d4aedf1d6f1b5f2291e2890aa (there hasn't been a change anyway).

The only way that is possible is to mix and have both - pages like in older plugins and PluginUI pages. The Diagnostics Plugin does that: The settings are PluginUI but the "Current Sessions" page with transcoding pipeline visualization is html/js.

@tillithz FYI the new functionality of picking date/time of images saved by apps eg WhatsApps has now been released in the latest betas of the Emby for iOS and Emby Server I have confirmed it being in place on Emby for iOS 2.2.41 and Emby Server 4.9.1.6 beta

Hi @Luke just installed LG TV's 1.0.47 but the problem is still there. I still have to go to next/previous season and then back to current season and then scroll to the episode (which is a real pain). Can it be fixed so that when I move down onto the highlighted season it actually goes into that season and preferably the correct episode?

@loki42 When we introduced the quick image series extraction, 3D files have been spared out for later implementation due to the complex scaling logic. Those below are for when the target width and height is known: ...but during image extraction, we only have a max-width, which makes these filters even longer and more complex. Shortly after, 3D videos had massiely dropped in popularity and afaik, not a single user has come since then to ask for proper image series extraction for 3d videos - not even for MVC coded 3D videos - for which it doesn't matter anyway of course. We'll enable quick extraction for MVC 3D videos in the next beta. Thanks a liot for reporting!

@BillOatmanisn't this functionality already available via Metadata Manager -> Views -> Missing Episodes? What does your feature add in this case? Downloading a .txt export of whatever is also under the Metadata Manager?

Adding this to your local server, will add the section for any other device, but it won't be able to render it because the part under `homesections.js` belongs to different environments. Logging in via app.emby.media also won't show the new section, because the global emby .html/.js-files haven't been modified. Logging in via your local server or local IP should allow you to see (and configure) this section. Thank you! Can you maybe change the title of this topic from "Smart Playlists" to "Homescreen random Genre-based sliders" or such? This method does not create any playlists but basically uses the same overviews a user would get to search for specific media.

Hi, what is the audio setup? Given that you're direct playing without any transcoding, I really don't see the reason for this other than the volume just being low.

I know I can go to the movie info and then I see all the details of the movie like framerate, resolution and so on. Some movies I have from Bluray some movies from TV recording. All movies have 1080 resolution. But the TV recording movies have 1080 interlaced. The Bluray movies have 1080 24P. Bluray qualitiy is better. That is why I want to see in an easy way the framerate of my movies. Can I also do something like an export to see all movie info details in one list?
