Looking at the logs you provided, it has detected the hardware transcoding >>>>>> Hardware Encoders for h264 [X] VideoToolbox H.264 but then fell be to software transcode after getting a failure It had selected hardware for encoding and software for decoding Info Previous transcoding attempt failed. Falling back to software transcoding. I will see if there are any clues as to why that happened

Server OS: Ubuntu 20.04.06 Emby server: 4.8.6.0 Clients: Emby for iOS 2.2.17 Emby for Android 3.3.86 Apologies if this is a feature request and not a bug. I’ve started using a Home videos & photos library to store and watch YouTube videos I’ve pulled down with a different application. I use Emby’s sync function to pull new unwatched content to my devices. When watching the local (on client device) files whilst online, the playback progress of downloaded media from this library is not retained. Stopping a locally stored video part way through and returning to it shows no playback progress and no resume button. This only happens when online and browsing to the library, or using the “latest” section on the home screen, but selecting to play the downloaded version of the file. Playing the downloaded version of the file directly from the Downloads section works fine.

I have already increased the font sizes to the pain threshold. Even larger, then only individual letters are displayed. I already wrote at the beginning that I have little to no knowledge of programming for Kodi. I can only fall back on HTML knowledge that is over 20 years old. If you change the poster size, the whole layout no longer fits. Integrating the overlays exceeds my knowledge many times over. Actually, the hope when revising the skin was that others would get involved. But that's not really the case. And in the summertime I have a lot of other work to do.

This has been seen to arise if there are overlapping media paths in a library. @renefwIf you are still having problems, give me examples of movies that do not show currently and send me by private message a zip of the emby server library.db (upload externally and send me a link to download it) The database would be here /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/programdata/data/library.db /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/programdata/data/library.db-shm /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/programdata/data/library.db-wal The shm and wal file may not exist if the server is shutdown tidily

Once a month. I have a service window friday mornings 6 am where a scheduled script that runs a lot of other tasks, checks if there's a pending reboot from Windows Update and if there is the server will restart. In practice I only see one reboot per month (usually the friday after the second tuesday of the month, patch tuesday in the Microsoft world). I'm using a NAS for my storage and access the data using UNC-path

I use EmbyNextGen and UpNext runs fine. The official release of Kodi Omega is more problematic. I had constant stuttering. That's why I went back to Nexus. I'll wait three to six months for now. Kodi Omega also seems to like to hide things that are not working properly. Here is the UpNext plugin that I had installed under Nexus - yes, it is still from Matrix, but it works fine under Nexus. service.upnext-1.1.9 matrix.1.zip

Yes I'm using the standard "Emby" app. It lacks the auto crop. I was just comparing it with Jellyfins app. Both Jellyfin and Plex have this feature. Just emby is missing it.

I've got season 2 of Outer Range I'm trying to auto organize. The show was downloaded as "O.R.s02e01........" I've got season 1 in my library already. Emby is trying to match the show to "The Orville" which I also have in my library. It isn't auto-organizing because I already have a season 2 in The Orville, which is fine, but there is no way to manually select Outer Range as the show I want to Smart Match to. Or maybe I'm missing something. I don't really like the new Auto organize interface, tbh...it doesn't feel as intuitive or as easy to use... What am I missing? Am I simply doing it wrong? How can I manually change which show I want to match it to like it used to be able to? There used to be a folder icon to click on which would open a dialog box to manually select which show in my library to smart match it to...what happened to that dialog box? The target path should be "L:\TV Shows 04\Outer Range (2022)\Season 02\........." There is no way to change the target path...
