new device- install failed

I have a brand new Sony X90K. I've installed Kodi 21.

I sideloaded the repository using https://kodi.emby.media and installed the repository from the zip. It appeared to go ok

I then went into the repository and attempted to install the Emby Next Gen Plugin and got "Installation Failed"

I deleted the repository and kodi and started again. I downloaded the repository via a zip file and uploaded it this way and got the same behaviour.

mmmm.. i just downloaded the plugin direct from the publictesting site and side loaded it that way

Interesting, not sure why this happened. I checked the zip archive and seems to be fine.

I have the exact same issue.

A new google TV with a fresh kodi installation, same error of invalid package.

How can I install the plugin "directly" like rabidrabbit mentioned? Or perhaps there is another workaround?

Thanks, it worked.

But...is it normal that I don't see the addon in the video addons? Instead I can access emby feeds via the emby dynamic folders available in the video section.

The core module is a service plugin, but you should install the helper plugins as well. video, audio and picture to get all features.
