Clash of the Titans [2010] metadata showing up as the 1981 version lol
Luke replied to SynesthesiaBruh's topic in MacOS
Can you try the Identify feature again? You had some outgoing requests to the moviedb api fail, which is likely the root of your problems. Hopefully it was just a temporary blip. If you're using a vpn, try turning it off. -

@MJK79 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Hi, if you turn this back on, how do things compare?

Sometimes, for reasons known only to the Gods, it takes Emby a very long time to perform some functions that are, I guess, very much background. I have discover the waiting, sometimes for days, will cause Emby to get things "right." I just wish that the deep background tasks had some way of finding and displaying what they are doing and the progress. But I do NOT want to know if it would slow down Emby to know. Knowledge is power but absolute power corrupts absolutely and my brain is already as corrupted as I can stand.

Hi, what last option are you referring to? Have you updated to Emby for Android 3.3.86?

Synolgoy Package Center Install upgraded to current breaks emby

Hi, we'd have to see the emby server log, but one likely cause is that you may have configured Emby server network settings in such a way to cause this. So you could try loosening up whatever was tightened, and then update again. -

Would love to see this implemented. Only thing I'm missing from when I used kodi as my front-end for emby. -

Average playback time of a live stream between 5-7 seconds on emby. It is possible to improve the playback time of a streaming maniesto, to test I have loaded three live channels in mpeg using H265, in which according to the captures both in the browser and APPs it takes a long time to play video. -

Well that is good but it is not for all at this time. I am still on 12.5.5 build 4174. Roku staggers their updates so i guess everyone will get updated in the next 6-8 months unless there are problems in which case it could be next week or next year. I am also wondering why the alphapicker works fine on my Rokus (Ultra) in movies while it does not work correctly for you or some others and in my browser it does not work at all for photos while it does work for others. Either there are some things that are more different than they appear across different devices/servers/libraries or there is a rather famous code snippet that activates randomly that basically says "On random screw random user" Or the general form of Murphy's law "The perversity of the universe tends towards a maximum" has taken total control of Emby and we just need to ride it out or "rub the Buda's belly" to get things back on an even keel. Edit: I just did some further testing and, on first attempt with all filters turned off it took 15 seconds to go from # to z on my 4500 + movie library but subsequent seeks are virtually instant except after leaving Emby and loading another app and reentering Emby. (I guess that resets something) I just do NOT understand what is happening. But understanding is not needed, just acceptance.

That's complete horseshit and we all know it. @ebrYou're entirely unwilling to explore providing this information in any way. You have been for at least a decade. You repeatedly quote that its for 'security' but refuse to explore any methods of providing that information securely. There are several ways you could do this. For example: provide a form on your site; enter premier key, receive email to the addresses used for purchase with even the most basic of information 'x of y slots in use' Or As discussed many times already: have the public api call that's already asking for permission to use premier features return an integer instead of just true/false. =the number of slots in use. There's no need to expose any harmful or personal/identifying information. We don't need individual device IDs, IP addresses, hosts, etc. Just a single integer: how many slots of your key are currently in use.

Hi there. Are you trying to connect to your own Emby server, or someone else’s?

crossing fingers it fixes the alphapicker for the MOVIES TAB using titles UPDATE: Roku just pushed out a firmware update version 13.0.0 build 24042
-
Hi Luke. The screen showing both was just to main movies library page. I found the cause and a little workaround for this issue although I don't think it's a permanent fix. My library location is set to D:/Emby/movies/movie_name. When movies are added, they are first temporarily saved to the root of D:/ and then copied over to the correct Emby folder. So while I didn't at first mind having the file duplicates on my drive.. it was confusing that Emby picked it up when it should only be indexing the Emby library folder and not the entire drive. The fix was to manually go through and delete the temp files in the root of D:/ and refresh the index. Thanks!

Possible in the future is not particularly hopeful, given the length of time that sometimes suggests around here. I'd much prefer "fixed in the next version," personally.
