    Just switched from emby for Android TV to emby for Android (standard). Using the 2019 Shield Pro. On the ATV version I can press and hold on the center button to bring up stats for nerds during playback but on the standard emby for Android this doesn't work. Is there another shortcut to do this or is the shortcut not built into the standard Android version. Thx

    Hmm. I did a fresh install on a different Linux computer and could not reproduce the issue. I'll try a few more things on the install which is having problems to see if I can't figure out more about what is going on. (I'm a software engineer by profession, so debugging issues comes natural). I guess worst case is that I re-install (on my media server) and start fresh.

    Generally speaking "Direct Play for Live TV" is preferred as it does not transcode/compress(degrade) the original stream... ... but if buffering is happening then well you need to find the best options yourself... So just leave it off (for now) if it works for you but look for ways to make direct play work...

    I 2nd it. This is why I jumped from Plex, they focused too much on their free content streaming than the functionality. This team here is great, the fact that they reply and even willing to look into Zidoo direct support is amazing. It is the one thing that keeps Nvidia's foothold being able to use HD audio without downmixing. The Zidoo not only has SIGNIFIGANTLY better video quality, the audio seems to be better too. Not to mention Nvidia does not support HDR 10 or higher (legitimately), and Zidoo natively supports 3D...yes I can run from Emby server to Zidoo native player setting. I would happily pay for a actual APK designed to run specifically on Zidoo boxes on top of my lifetime too. It is the missing link to audiophile streaming from Emby.

    SRT files take way too long for extraction, and that is unacceptable. 3+ minutes and then the subs come in out of sync MOV_TEXT subs, no wait, PGS with transcoding no wait, ASS no wait. The issue is something in the pipeline. it broke after the upgrade to 4.8

    ok, so why do all things from TV get displayed separately if added as an episode, a season or as the whole show? From the end user perspective that delineation is meaningless, they just want to see all the items in a single container. What is the logic for making a separation for items from the same library?

    I saw the SQL error in the Web UI, but that was probably caused by the no free space condition. I think it's stable now, but one thing that's always confused me is Direct Play for Live TV. When should that be used? I have an HDHomeRun with a CableCard. Right now I turned off "Direct Play Live TV" in the Android TV app and it seems stable, playing smoothly.

    From a view standpoint correct as they will be virtually grouped into one folder. These will not be broken into multiple subfolders like organization as Absolutle is one folder/season showing all just like you see it on the metadata provider sites. So yes this is awkward scrolling 1100+ episodes. Also did not notices any difference changing to exxxx this naming.

    HI, @Happy2Play you are right about having as many folder layers like me, sorry, i was not attentive enough. But yeah. My episode naming sheme is being 4 digit wide because of this huge anime. It runs for more than 20 years already xD So it's a rather unique case. There aren't any other tv show with so many episodes! Kind regards Roke

    Sorry I will have to retest as I just noticed your naming scheme is slightly different tv show name (year) eXXXX and mine is only three digit minus the e. So it may be in the 4 digit code for the lower numbers.

    No I just did not add provider id to folder naming. So we have same structure with slightly different naming on Show folder E:\Media\TV Shows - DB\One Piece (1999)\One Piece (1999)-001 - 100\[100 files] Everything looks correct per library settings so I am not entirely sure unless there is somet

On my side it's 3.30 a.m.: Thats my configuration for the collection: @Happy2PlayI noticed, that I have one folder layer more than you, since above the separate folders with 100 files each resides the one folders that was meant to build the opening bracket: [upper directories] \tv show name (year){tvdb=XXXXX}\tv show name (year)- 001 - 100\[100 files] I will test later, if it works if I remove this folder from the equation... Regardless I want to say thank you very much by supporting me in such an edge case! But now I will go rest. I'll update you later with any result I'll stumble upon! Thx and kind regards! Roke

    Would need to see a server log for when this happens. But if you server logs have inotify errors for users/watches then you have to apply the patch to change those default values. If you do not have inotify errors then we will probably need to know exactly how you are adding your libraries.

    Adding 1000-1100 added without issue also. So my next quest would be what is your metadata provider order? I added the show folder Emby recognized Aired order, I changed to Absolute and Refreshed w/replace images to correct the issue with Aired and everything feel into place as I this test was all db only data.

    Hi. I am running Emby 4.7.14 on Synology DS224+ running DSM 7.2.1. i have had this device for few months now and RTM never worked for me. I have scheduled tasks running every few hours to scan the library or i scan library manually when needed. Lately i been adding alot of stuff and its getting annoying to scan the library manually everytime. I have few libraries for pictures and home videos. Everytime i add new pictures or videos. Nothing shows up until i scan library manually or my schedule task runs. I have RTM enabled on all libraries. I read in few posts about Inotify issues with Synology devices and i followed the guide posted there and made those changes; But still having same issues. Can someone please help. Thanks

    Edit from my previous post: HI, together. Don't get me wrong - in every other case, i would put all files into one folder and it would not cause any problem. But with this special tv show / anime, where the file count exceeeds 1100 files, its a bit difficult to navigate in a folder with >1100 files, so I chose this structure. I think that my problem would still persist, even if i were to create just 2 folder with 600+ episodes each... I think, that the combination "absolute numbering" and "separate folders" is just not working how it could, since the tv show recognition already works good but in my case the metadata algorithm is not able to jump into the next folder. But: @Happy2Playi recognize already, that you're getting a different result than me. I just don't see why.... On which layer did you trigger the metadata collection (or maybe file scan)?

    But retesting this with structrure appears to work fine also. Will test adding episodes 1000-1100.

    Will have to do some testing but will guess these folder organization will be an issue as absolute would be one folder with all episodes. test files 001-200 + 807 in single folder.
