I am experiencing repeated premature terminations of scheduled IPTV recordings on my Synology 1522+ using Emby. Here are some examples where the recordings did not complete as planned: TV total 2024_04_24_20_15_00 - Show, Comedyshow: Terminated after just 4 minutes. Achtung Abzocke - Betrügern auf der Spur 2024_04_25_20_15_00 - Information, Documentary Series: Terminated after 41 minutes. The Voice Kids 2024_04_26_20_15_00 - S12E6, Children, Talent Show: Terminated after 7 minutes. This issue is not isolated but occurs consistently, which is quite frustrating. I've noticed that my IPTV connection sometimes becomes unstable. Could it be that Emby automatically stops recording when there are connection issues, instead of continuing until the scheduled end time? If so, I would appreciate a feature that allows recordings to complete regardless of connection stability. Please let me know if such a solution is possible. Thanks for link Luke. I did have the email linked to the Emby Connect user on server. So, on the TV when I click connect with Emby Connect, I get the pin number which I input into the Emby.media/pin and that is fine, but then the screen changes to the previous where it has the Add Server and connect with Emby Connect. So, that doesn't work. When I try Add Server, after entering the Server Host name and port, it just starts turning. See attached picture. I have a reverse proxy with port 443, but that is ok and on Android devices it works. On Android device ( not on home LAN) after entering the host and port the screen moves to ask for username, something that doesn't happen on the TV. Thanks

I'd like to maybe start this discussion again. I want to build a similar (very) low powered Emby server but I already have the hardware albeit rather old. The hardware I have is; HP Microserver N40L with 8GB Ram Hacked BIOS to allow all SATA ports to be used for HDD PCI SATA card. 240GB SSD for OS I can fit up to six 3.5" HDDs and the SSD in the case and want to use old used HDDs which I already have. This system has in the past actually run Emby on Windows 11 and Drive Bender to provide JBOD but it was a bit slow when using RDP to manage it. I want to start from scratch and add Sonarr, Radarr and SABnzb. It will do no transcoding and only serve one user on a local LAN. I'm considering dipping my toes in the Linux world but I'm not sure what OS to use. What would you suggest, the budget is essentially £0.00

You can use this layout to check if filenames are correct and identified as the right movie. Then go through them 1 by 1, till you hit a file that identified wrong. Hi, I want to use the Emby server to play my music via dlna with controller apps (jplay ios) and I can't see the album covers until start playing a song. I think it's not a problem with the app because work with Asset Upnp, MinimServer, Jellyfin dlna, plex etc. How can I solve this? The metadata is correct on the web and desktop emby apps. Thanks

Hi I have decided it is time I joined the 4K TV world and I am looking at an LG 4K C3 TV. My current setup is simple: 1) HTPC in lounge connects to media server for data, most movies are bluray quality 2) HTPC connects to AV Receiver which plays sounds and sends HDMI video signal to an old 1080 Plasma TV As current setup is 1080p I do not have any upscaling requirements and it works well. My new setup will look like above except the TV will be a 4K TV. Connection over eARC from TV to Yamha receiver. I see this is a challenge for the HTPC as Windows will connect at 4K to the TV and Emby will not be upscaling the movie playback so I think things will look soft if I maximazie the Emby playback window. I could use the Emby LG client instead and connect that to my media server. Three questions please: 1) Would the LG App output at the movie quality and then the LG TV do the upscaling to 4K? 2) Would the LG App / TV pass Dolby Atmos sound to the receiver over eARC? 3) Is it possible to use Emby Theatre on the HTPC or is the upscaling a challenge? The usual reason for this sort of thing is not following Emby's naming suggestions closely enough. https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html Movies can seem to disappear when they have been identified as a version of another movie; they can be hard to locate when this has happened, so sorting out the naming is the way to go. I removed the Android TV app and sideloaded the standard android app (Arm7). I can confirm there are NO issues on the Google TV Chromecast with the standard app. Please advice.

Not sure if this is in the correct sub-forum, but have noticed under the settings for libraries there is only TheMovieDB listed for Season Metadata Downloaders, is this intentional? For TV Series I use TheTVDB and this option is available in the other sections, so why is it missing from this section thanks
