Well, not sure what this "EventName" key actually does. globals()["PlayingItem"][0] is the dict send as sessioninfo to Emby server. Emby should already know what's the state of playback "IsPaused = true/false" however. I'll add the "EventName" as well even makes not really sense to me.

Trying to build a low cost low power server for my mom
Dickydodah! replied to SDMattman's topic in Hardware
I've just remembered that I did also install TrueNAS Core on this system once and found it quite straightforward. I didn't keep it though as I didn't really want to use RAID but if it can do JBOD it might be a nice easy solution. Just had a search and TrueNAS is a non starter, linux with mergefs seems to be an answer. -
Agree.. But classical music is difficult and different in certain regards. So from my perspective More of a rock, jazz and blues guy.. It's all in what the server does with the tags. The example I am using demonstrates my point. Just cause Ludwig composed a piece, that a Jazz Artist did a version of in 2011, Doesn't Really make Ludwig a "Jazz Artist" or does it ? For that matter why is Ludwig ever considered an "Artist" at all. -vicpa

I discover another problem, when I pause or resume on kodi, it can not recieve emby's webhook msg(pause and unpause). I read the plugin code, then I find the solution. Add the EventName property can recieve msg. Hope this can help you!

Click on server version in your Dashboard, it'll list Release Notes for any version. Alternatively, Github release page will list them as well. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases

Thanks, I checked the database sync code and credit markers should be correct. "CreditsStart" is the parser label. Your modification in jump_Credits seems to be correct. I used the wrong seek position. Must be the Runtimeticks, you are right. Some additional checks must be added, RunTimeTicks are not loaded in realtime, otherwise (edge cases) player could crash. def jump_Credits(): if PlayingItem[0].get('RunTimeTicks', 0): xbmc.log(f"EMBY.hooks.player: Skip credits jump {PlayingItem[0]['RunTimeTicks']}", 1) # LOGINFO playerops.Seek(PlayingItem[0]['RunTimeTicks']) globals()["PlayingItem"][0]['PositionTicks'] = PlayingItem[0]['RunTimeTicks'] globals()["SkipCreditsJumpDone"] = True else: xbmc.log("EMBY.hooks.player: Skip credits, invalid RunTimeTicks", 1) # LOGINFO

Yes in this example. But it is the same on my Nvidia shield -
Hello, I want to know where I can find the release logs from 4.8.2 to 4.8.5. There was a single thread for minor releases in 4.7.x but I cannot find it for 4.8.x. Am I missing something? Sorry, I found it. It's here

Trying to build a low cost low power server for my mom
Dickydodah! replied to SDMattman's topic in Hardware
@Q-DroidMy main server is on a low-ish powered PC and I have never had any transcoding, mainly because it's turned off but also because my media is chosen to play correctly on my Samsung TV. This "baby" server is only going to play back on my son's PC which is a very high end gaming machine. I will be selecting the correct media sources so that the Emby app on his PC can play with no transcoding. If there is no option I'll hijack his gaming PC to transcode overnight, I might have a fight on my hands there though. My Linux experience is limited but I have installed a few distros on a few old machines I have. They were reasonably painless to get up and working but I never really used the machine for much. I've used Windows since 3.11 and MSDOS prior to that so command line is OK for me but I do struggle a bit at times with the linux command syntax. Google and poke and hope are my best freinds there The permissions on linux are a complete mystery to me at the moment. There will be no access from outside the LAN so security isn't an issue but alongside the apps I've listed I suppose I will need an antivirus and a firewall (or is there one built in on linux?) I prefer using a GUI but as this will be a headerless machine it might be unnecessary. -
I love these and have been using them - any chance you are willing to do another in the same style for Live TV Recordings?

I have been ripping tagging and listening to music on my Squeezeboxes for about 24 years. I have never had anything show up in my server that wasn't reflected in my tags somewhere. .........and NOTHING is as frustrating as classical music. I just ripped and cleaned up tags for an album that credited the well know keyboard player Itzhak Pearlman..........

staeff started following Playback of 4K HVEC mkv files not working anymore
-
Since a few days (maybe 1-2 weeks) the playback of 4K HVEC mkv files does not work anymore correctly for Emby on LG webOS. It just loads forever and shows "No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details.". Some of those files worked before and just became broken recently. When I mux the files to mp4 the playback just starts to work normally again. I also was not able to reproduce the behaviour with with 1080p files as far as I could tell. I'm using Emby for LG 1.0.42 on a LG G2 webOS 24 (v13.30.56) with Emby Server 4.8.5.0 Here are some examples of not working 4K HVEC mkv files:

I modify these code, then the plugin can skip to end when I click the button "skip credits". The plugin can recognize the credits chapter. This is the Credits chapter that ChapterApi plugin added. Hope this can help you!
-
No, your better with a comskip docker only then. Comskip will generate .edl and do nothing else to your file.

Thanks for the log. We're looking into it.

Trying to build a low cost low power server for my mom
Q-Droid replied to SDMattman's topic in Hardware
Can you guarantee it will do no transcoding? That means you'll likely have to convert somewhere to get to that point. Whether converting "offline", like overnight or on a second box, chances are you'll have to manipulate the media source to get everything to play without any transcoding. How new are you to Linux? -
Too many errors when trying to play show or movie
ebr replied to Spencity89's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Hi. Do you have the server log from that same playback? A 500 error was thrown on the server. This may be related to the massive number of subtitle tracks in that item. Can you try remuxing it with just a few and see if that makes a difference? -
Hi. The update for the Shield went out quite a while ago. It has supported the new Profile PIN for some time now. On the Fire, you can install the app "Emby" to gain full functionality.

Emby Theatre suddenly dropping frames - noticeable during playback
djlfahy replied to djlfahy's topic in Emby Theater
No stutter present when file played in standalone mpv player. Any ideas?? -
And how are the chapters labeled? Please send me an example, as this is not an "Emby standard", I need to know what kind of chapter suppose to be parsed as a credit marker.

utils.py But the lines are not just there to annoy you There is a reason why I disable them in addon mode. If you experience issues with this settings, you are on your own.
