At the time:
I didn't know Python
I didn't know anything about working with web APIs, XBMC API or MB3 API
I didn't know how to use GitHub
I made a little progress - got lists to display and files to play. I thought I was about done...

Did you hear of XBMB3C ?
It's a fantastic add-on for XBMC to connect to your Media Browser server and browse your libraries. That way you can take advantage of the great things XBMC has to offer like PVR-support, large amount of plugins and a large support of devices/platforms without giving up the fantastic features of Media Browser.
If you just install the XBMB3C add-on, you have to open up the add-on to browse your Media Browser libraries. Not that user friendly as you might want to just
Beginning June 1st, we will be removing support for previous MB 2 Supporter keys in the MB 3 Server and removing this field from the product.
As long as you get your MB 2 key in before this date, you will get credit for any MB 2 registrations. After that time, it won't be possible to enter the old key and the system will stop checking against the old database.
We aren't making this move to try and take anything away but the old MB 2 database is being shut down and we want to remove this
If not, why not? XBMB3C brings together the vast feature set of Xbmc with the power of Media Browser Server. It also has some beautiful skins and runs on just about any platform.
Here are some recent feature highlights:
New Gotham repo, supporting Gotham skins and features
Channel support
Let's take a look at some of the skins it has to offer.
