woznicbh 11
I am looking to be able to get live tv to play on my roku but it doesn't seem as though my server can handle the transcode of the live tv to allow me to be able to play any of the tv channels through my roku. However I nice way around this would be to use SiliconDusts new HDHR4 which has hardware transcoding to h.264 and direct playback on dlna devices. Does MB3 and the Roku front end support direct streaming the Live TV stream if I was to purchase one of these? I would really like live tv to work on my Roku. Thanks,

sydlexius 241
Keep in mind that the model you linked to does not perform any transcoding. You're looking for the HDTC-2US for OTA. There isn't any street date on the Cable Card version (which will also support DTCP-IP, though not many DLNA clients support that so far).
woznicbh 11
You are correct on the Silicon Dust model. I am only looking at the OTA version as I don't subscribe to cable or have a cable card. Appreciate the correction.

Appreciate the correction. No problem. I'm thinking of swapping out my two HDHR3-US boxes for the above-mentioned one...less heavy-lifting by my MBS, and hopefully a drastic reduction in storage space requirements. Recorded OTA TV sure can be piggish.

sydlexius 241
is the hdhr4 available in AUS yet1? It doesn't look to be on the market yet. Based on this powerpoint slide, The closest product I can find that they'll be launching looks like it will be called the HDTC4-2EU (transcoding/DLNA, DVB-T/T2/C). I apologize if those aren't the broadcast standards applicable to you. Us Yanks tend to go our own way when it comes to that sort of thing.
