My server can't transcode on the fly, which is why I disabled “Allow video transcoding to a compatible format, if necessary, during media playback.” Or am I misinterpreting that setting? What I find strange is that I didn’t have any issues before with remux not showing subtitles until yesterday.

Oh, I can see it under "Devices"! Emby for Android 3.5.28 for all devices.

I'll check when I get home This behaviour is on multiple devices - I'll check them all.

This is not supposed to happen, habe you set the server_type to emby in your config.yaml? This error indicates that a Plex instance is still used, in the settings. You can also share your config or log and I'll see what I can do.

This has been talked about here + other places but same conclusion.

After days of troubleshooting, I can confirm that downgrading from 4.9.3 to 4.9.1.90 resolved this issue for me. My Arc A380 wasn't tone mapping, I was getting: WARNING: Small BAR detected for device 0000:83:00.0 Failed to get number of OpenCL platforms: -1001. Failed to created derived device context: -19. Conversion failed! → Falling back to software transcoding. I am no longer getting these errors after a rollback and tone mapping is fixed.

Got a Sony from around that time my self and as FrostByte says you will only get Atmos with eac3 formats. If you want all sound formats you will need an external player like for example a Nvidia Shield.

Use a different IPTV provider or if you want to record, get a Formuler box. Providers are cheap, and it's relatively easy to switch. This is not an Emby problem and honestly Emby should not be used for watching IPTV.

Could you elaborate on that and show a specific example?
