Ho usato Xmltv 1.2.1.0 per lungo tempo con questa epg https://epgshare01.online/epgshare01/epg_ripper_IT1.xml.gz Ora che Xmltv si è aggiornato a 1.2.2.0 il file epg non viene più interpretato correttamente e la guida risulta vuota. È capitato a qualcun altro? Grazie

This problem is really a pain in the a**. I moved from Plex Premium to EMBY premium and I deeply regret it. EMBY does what it wants. the last 3 days I added the Tags of every single song with Taikoz. I refreshed the database, the metadata, everything twice. Reinstalled it. Still EMBY shows strange music genres which I cant find whrere they get fetched. I added a new folder, nope, Emby dont like to add the added genres even when scanned 10 times. and from then to now all the song cover pictures are overwritten by a single image. yay! And this is just my 78rpm folder. Not to mention that my other over 900 Albums have superstrange linkings with actors I never knew that they make music or are now splitted in several different albums, or arfe not played because they are flac. Its a mess. and my blood is boiling honestly scrolling through all the entries here in the forum seeing that the emby team just asks questions and wants some infos but nearly never give answers. The community does. TV Shows and Movies might work properly, Audiobooks . . .forget it. And music - honestly, I was so happy to find a system which proveides a proper genre archive setting - nope . . . . the waist of money is one thing - but the time which I spent menticulously correcting dates, tags, genres from every single file just for getting ignored by this . . . system. I am out and will tell you if I have found a more stable solution.

Hi there, This of course works (tested to confirm as well), since then Emby can see the Intel drivers I have installed at "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/iHD_drv_video.so"; the problem is that snap does not bundle it nor does the snap package have the needed permissions to access the root filesystem. The reason Nvidia works is because they live in a different location, /dev/nvidia*, which is world-readable and can be accessed using the existing "opengl" plug on the snap, but because Intel places it's drivers in a more usual fashion they can't be accessed directly. So there's two fixes you could do, either bundle the intel-media-va-driver and intel-media-va-driver-non-free (needed for Arc GPUs) inside of the snap using stage-packages in your snapcraft yaml, or you could modify the snapcraft yaml to bind the user's driver path. Though the latter just shifts the burden to the user for installing the drivers, and I don't know if it'll cause errors if that path doesn't exist on a different system. Thanks for your attention!

@Luke Why in opensubtitles plugin we dont have anymore option "hash matching " ? Before when this option was available, subtitles were matched and downloaded automatically, now even on same filename on movie / tv plugin is not downloading it, in 90% cases you need to download it manually.

Three months to fix a problem, which is clearly a major problem for those who watch in VOST, this is absolutely ridiculous.....

I've just noticed in the emby server, when I select films / movies, there is an option to turn on subtitles to English, among a list of other languages. But when I select a TV show I can only select the language that the show is in or is spoken, ie Russian, with no other languages available. Thanks

Would also find it very convenient as an admin to copy across settings/display/homescreen sections from one user (that I can manually configure) to other existing users.

The Dune-based player on the R_volution PlayerPro can open files directly via SMB and HTTP network paths without any issues. Network playback is one of its core strengths. Can the Android device reach the network path? Yes. The R_volution device is on the same local network as the media files, which are stored on Synology NAS devices. Direct access is not an issue. Our intended approach Rather than waiting for a native Emby feature, we are considering building a small local bridge application that would work as follows: The user browses the library and selects a title in Emby as usual The bridge intercepts the playback event via the Emby API or webhook The bridge retrieves the direct network path to the video file and any associated external SRT subtitle file The bridge launches the Dune player via an Android intent, passing both the video URL and the subtitle path directly This would give us the best of both worlds – Emby's excellent library management and metadata, combined with Dune's superior handling of Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and lip sync. Additional observation It is worth noting that even when using the R_volution PlayerPro as an external player alongside Emby, the movie title is already displayed at the top of the screen when playback is paused. This confirms that metadata communication between Emby and the device is already functioning, which is encouraging for the bridge concept. Our question to the Emby team Does Emby currently support webhooks or API callbacks that fire when a user initiates playback on a specific device? Tried this but filter does not seem to stay after setting for a specific name. Click the save button and it closes than opens again but everything is listed. So this i not working as i would like.

Really depends on what you applied on the Networks menu. Possibly <LocalNetworkSubnets /> <LocalNetworkAddresses />

No worries! At least you have the album problem resolved for the moment - with a "Fix" even if you don't see it as a "Solution". Thinking a bit more about some of the other things I mentioned... have you played around with the Mp3tag Actions and scripting at all? With your test files previously, I had just manually changed the Disc and Track numbers. BUT, if you did want to do this across your whole library, it could be automated in Mp3tag. E.g. just make an Action such as this: Or whatever variation that may suit what you potentially would like to do??? (Note: I only tested this on your 3 test files - you would likely need something slightly different if you have numbers 100+) This is just an example of something that would take ages to do manually, but very easy if automated. The real problem was that the "isolate" environment used by Emby for ffmpeg was not compatible with my hardware (cpu Kaby Lake) and software (Debian 12).
