Thanks for the tests. I believe some of the requests must be timing out and the app is not handling that well.

Yes, the parental ratings are working and after changing priority order and doing a full and complete metadata refresh I can only get the TVDB rating to appear on the bottom and now on the TV show page. But none of the others are working and I know they exist because these are popular shows. EDIT: And like I said, all community ratings and parental ratings are working on my personal PC for the exact same shows and movies that are missing on my public facing Emby.

The Emby Universal Installer does not work with Fedora 43
frankieboy123 replied to fritz.the.cat's topic in Linux & Raspberry Pi
Hi, Regarding the Fedora issues: You have to install libXScrnSaver package and then you can install the rpm. -
Hola @Guderian, ¿reviso usted el control inteligente de aplicaciones?, le adjunto un video para que lo revise, un saludo.
-
Yes, both settings are identical and all providers are selected and I have TheTVDB set as first in order. I have Movies and TV as profiles in EmbyIcons and both use the same settings. Community ratings beginning on the bottom left and parental ratings on the bottom right.
-
I did that also but did not help I got it installed by going to the url in the error log and it downloaded fine
-
Seems tom be just the ratings that are missing if i understand this correctly. Have you enabled the ratings in the Emby library settings? If you have multiple profiles in EmbyIcons, did you remember to add the ratings to the correct profile?

Hi again guys. I noticed a weird issue today. EmbyIcons is working for my Movies and TV shows on my local PC Emby installation, but for the version on my NAS that is public, EmbyIcons only works on Movies. The only icon that seems to work is the parental rating. I wanted both Movies and TV shows to have all the community ratings starting on the bottom left horizontally and parental rating on the far right bottom corner. . I'm attaching my Emby log and some image extraction logs that may or may not be helpful as well as 2 screen shots showing EmbyIcons working on my personal Emby and public server not working. extract-multi-image-A8C094BE46CD_1.txt extract-multi-image-8CCF0ECECE5C_1.txt embyserver.txt

Is this the setting? I should have double checked but I could have sworn that this was already set to auto.

Support full regional language tags like es-419 in media stream information
AngelSing replied to AngelSing's topic in Feature Requests
Yes, I think Luke is probably referring to an internal build or a change that has been added but not released yet. I am also still getting the same result in the current Beta: Emby only shows “Spanish” and does not show “Spanish (Latin America)” yet. So I understand Luke’s message as confirmation that es-419 has now been added to Emby’s language mapping, and hopefully it should start working in the next Beta release or once that internal change becomes available. At least that sounds like good news, because it means Emby should eventually be able to recognize es-419 correctly as Spanish (Latin America).- 18 replies

Yes, I understand your point. Manually adding tags one by one could definitely be a lot of work in some libraries. However, in my case I use the Bulky Editor plugin, so applying tags to multiple items is actually quite easy. For example, if I have an anime series with several season posters where the icons overlap the title, I can select all affected seasons at once, open the bulk editor, and add, remove, or replace the tag for all selected items in one step. So for my workflow, a tag-based position override would not feel like too much manual work. It would be more like an optional tool for fixing specific problematic posters when needed. The global icon position would still handle most of the library, and the tag would only be used as a manual exception for selected movies, seasons, series, or collections. I understand it would still require extra development work on your side, but from a user perspective, combined with bulk editing, it could be a very practical solution.

Hello. I'm setting up a home media library for myself and my family. I've run into a couple of issues: => 1. Maybe it would make sense to add a language attribute to the “Title,” “Original Title,” and “Description” fields. Something like <title lang="en">Babylon-5. The Gathering</title> <title lang="ru">Вавилон-5: Сбор</title> <title lang="fr">Babylon 5. Le Rassemblement</title> <originaltitle lang="en">Babylon-5. The Gathering</originaltitle> I think this will make life a lot easier. If it’s easier for me to read a list of movies in Arabic or German, I can specify my preferred display languages in the user settings, and only display what’s available if the titles/descriptions aren’t available in those languages. => 2. Есть ли возможность блокировать обновление полей DbId? => 3. When searching external databases (such as TheMovieDb or AniDb), use the title from the “title” field, not “originaltitle.” 2026-06-17 02:00:43.790 Info HttpClient: GET https://private.omdbapi.com?apikey=fe53f97e&plot=full&r=json&y=2023&t=Три очарования&type=series If I add a movie or TV series that has no translations or has multiple translated titles, it’s quite difficult to find it in the databases. It turns out I have to leave the original title in the “Title” field. Then why is the “Original Title” field even necessary? And, after all, it’s pretty inconvenient to have a localized library full of English, Chinese, or Indian titles, especially when the viewer is an 8-year-old :))) Or should I add the movie, wait for all the metadata to update, and then localize it? What if it’s a TV series that’s still being filmed?

Inquiry regarding the client-side automatic server IP and port recognition feature.
Clackdor replied to sunmagic's topic in General/Windows
This happens because the emby server is advertising it's local HTTP IP:port to clients, and clients seem to always favor this for local connections. Does this mean that we will finally be getting the option to fully customize the IP or domain that the emby server advertises to devices on the local network via the discovery service? If so that should allow admins to force HTTPS connections for local apps too. HTTP connections should only ever be needed for local DLNA devices that require it assuming everything is setup correctly. A large number of people use their domain internally with a local DNS server or hairpin NAT as well as mixed internal/external reverse proxies. It would be nice to not have to choose between forcing HTTPS connections by blocking ports on the server (assuming the OS & network environment even allows for it) & simpler local device setup via the built-in discovery service. -
As I wrote: It's NOT a versions thing. Version option is existing for years, I decided against for good reasons - and had a well working library with NO versions, but different edits or sources of the same movie. Now: Emby decided (don't know since which version) to handle movies with the same ID as ONE movie, which was not mentioned or warned against. My library is a mess right now. I hope someone can help and tell me how I can go back to a previous server version, or a kind of switch for turning this "feature" on is "hopefully" implemented soon. Thx.

Luke - thanks for your reply. I had seen this folder - it tells me where the information is but not how to access it. As I said, I am not technical, and I don't want to get involved with hidden folders and SSH or similar. I cannot think of any other program/app. that I use that doesn't send password reset info. via email. When I first installed Emby I decided it came closer than any other media program to giving me what I want across music, photos and video but sadly it looks as tho' it is intended more for the technical person with a media interest rather than those, like me, whose main interest is media-led and who have limited technical knowledge. If you can supply guidance to help me get signed-on, I would like to continue using Emby but otherwise I guess I am stuck Roy
