I started with downloading movies in 2005-2006 and have been around: MyFilms (italian software developer) MediaPortal Ant Movie Catalog and since 2016 Emby, but I still have Ant Movie Catalog and Radarr and Sonarr, and Ant Movie Catalog has saved my ... several times, when I had to rebuild my movie database after a disk got completely wrecked. (20 hard disks - 130 TB)

Zugriff auf den Emby Server erfolgte dabei mittels URL über den Reverse Proxy. Websocket Support ist an. HTTP/2 Support habe ich derzeit aus, geht auch mit "An" nicht. Ich kann auch noch Logfiles vom funktionieren Versuch posten (Zugriff über die IP im LAN). Ich würde die nur nachreichen damit es übersichtlich bleibt. Bonjour, j'ai pas mal de fichiers au format DVD. Structure des répertoires sous la forme : NomduFilm/VideoTS/fichiers VOB Je comptais les passer en mkv car cela semble mieux supporté par Emby. J'ai donc testé en créant des mkv à la racine du même répertoire NomduFilm/NomduFilm.mkv Le jour où j'ai fait la manipulation, j'ai vu apparaître la possibilité de choisir la version dans l'interface d'Emby et je me suis dit, génial ! Or, ce matin, en me connectant, je n'ai plus cette possibilité. Les fichiers mkv ne sont plus reconnus, il ne reste plus que la version DVD. Une idée du pourquoi ça a fonctionné le jour où j'ai créé mes mkv et pourquoi ça ne fonctionne plus aujourd'hui ?

Hi, I'm not sure if this is me not understanding this setting or it's a bug and not working correctly. I have this setting on 192kbps, yet when on my mobile data connection, it still directly plays music above this quality with no transcoding. Have I misunderstood? Thanks

Since the service is not selfhosted I will not use it. Giving out my Emby login, password, api key and External IP / domain to a external service is not for me. What happens if the external service gets hacked? Or all my info is sold to highest bet?

The Images look really cool. Just don‘t get why I have to have a google email adress and why that is needed ?

That process (with Start11) works like you say (with the "can't create here" message as well), but the shortcut generated is the same as yours and works fine... Paul

I haven't been able to find the problem, that's why I asked which of the changes made in the latest version may conflict, since it worked before and after updating it didn't. I provided all possible information to try to solve it but I have not received a response since then and I have not found anything either

do you have a specific example to show me - where a library has both folder paths - the A drive and another and the same movie is in both paths - showing me the library folders definition in settings and directory listing / tree showing the movie in both paths and then a scan of the ibrary and what you see for the movie ? and also attaching the emby server log for that when you view the movie after the scan

This is not, and has never been, true. I'm not aware of any media player ever being able to play multiple subtitle files, and even if one with such functionality exists that is not what the “forced” flag is supposed to do. The “forced” flag means that subtitle will display regardless of which audio is selected: it's for situations where some portion of the dialogue is not in the main language of the audio track, and therefore still needs to be subtitled even though the user speaks the language the audio track is flagged with.

Basically, this FR as genres are only one image per genre ie Movies/TV use same image not an image per content type.

Hi, As a new Emby user, I set up a server for my family and relatives. To practically track whether users like or dislike the content they watch, and to free up space by removing unwanted content, I implemented a simple method using playlists. Method I created two separate playlists for each user: Liked Disliked I asked users to evaluate the movies they watch by adding them to these playlists. How It Works Users add the movies they watch to these playlists I can see all playlists Users can only view the playlists I allow They cannot edit others’ playlists (only manage their own) If needed, I can allow certain users to view each other’s playlists I made my own “Liked / Disliked” playlists visible to all users, so they can also see my recommendations.

If I have a group for “movies in the James Bond collection” and a group for “movies starring Daniel Craig,” the resulting section will contain Die Another Day and Logan Lucky. There's no way to filter only movies that fit both criteria. Similarly, for some users I have a manually-maintained playlist to use as their Spotlight. If I create a group tagging everything on that playlist, and a group tagging everything they haven't watched in the past 90 days, it will tag almost every movie on the server and render the playlist useless. What I want to do is tag everything on that list that the user has not watched in the past 90 days.

@justinrh You can change the cover images on those like you can with movies as well so they can work for now until the devs improve upon that. Not sure if you are aware. I threw this together using gimp. Its just a couple of boxes angled to look like folder blades on top with the genre titles on them and a couple of drop shadows. There are some really good templates on this forum as well.

Ah, I see. I didn't check that when I put them there or when I had the trailers. thanks for getting back to me. I will split this out even if it isn't really what i wanted. I guess i can duplicate the extras out to each folder. The trailers folder had 1 trailer for each movie, so i can split that. Thanks again for helping me out on this, you have been really helpful to me on each of my issues i have had.

Give what another try? The config got lost mysteriously sometime these past few years without me realizing and doing the config again worked fine so I'm not sure what you're asking me to try at all. When I said still there I meant that the PIN is still saved in the config, in case you thought I meant the buggy behavior was still there. Nothing is getting saved to trakt, but I'm assuming that's because absolutely everything got wiped and I'd have to run the first time sync to make it work again, I just didn't bother since it's pointless now that I lost all the data, I'll have to find a more reliable alternative to store watch status even for files I delete.

Did you have a library scan run at that time? Could the resource consumption from that be a problem?

Follow up, it doesn't work that way in the app, so back to looking for/hoping for a solution to this.
