I too would really like to be able to disable the "On Now" section from the home screen. It seems like if I disable Live TV all the links to it go away (not sure why it's not on the sidebar as well under "my media" but it's not). We really do very little Live TV anymore, but need to be able to manage a couple of recordings. I hate having the home screen cluttered with random junk programs I don't watch. I love that Emby lets me have so much more control over the appearance of things than Plex did. This seems like a gap worth closing :)

I have the same issue - where all my genre images (in music) disappeared and I'm struggling to get them back. I've tried a refresh metadata and a scan library files but they're not re-appearing. It used to do a tiled 2x2 image of albums in each genre.

Why not do it based on IANA list of non routable IPs ? If the IP is not in the non routable IP ranges, you anonymize it no ? non routable IPs have no problem of privacy as you can't track them at anything

It would be one thing if the search results were just slow and that was it. The fact that for us that are affected it completely locks up a server for up to multiple minutes, which is just ridiculous. For those affected too, we cannot disable search. Otherwise that would be a simple workaround, instead if any of my users forget and click on search, they break the server for a couple of minutes for everybody.

Not sure if this helps, but recreating the libraries appears to have improved the situation, though it hasn't completely resolved the issue. I was previously seeing around 10–15 crashes per day, and that has dropped to roughly 1–4 crashes per day. The problem still exists, but it doesn't seem to occur as frequently now.

Wie kann Ich mit der Emby-App auf dem Samsung-TV Serien löschen? In der Windows-APP erscheint die Möglichkeit wenn ich mit der Maus über die Serien fahre. In TV habe ich keine Maus, nur die Fernbedienung und kann nur die Serien auswählen. Hat hierzu jemand eine Lösung?

It's been discussed before, I think. It would really improve the experience if a series that isn't currently in Continue Watching is moved to the top when a new episode is added.

What's the best way to manage musical playlists in Emby? I recently moved my Emby server to a new machine and all my musical playlists that I spent hours and hours creating are now empty. I thought the backup and restore would have prevented this. Is there any way to get them back? The icons and playlists themselves are present but they have no songs listed.

Hi. Ich betreibe Emby auf einem NAS mit Unraid in docker. Ich haben eine Filmsammlung in verschiedenen Qualitäten vorliegen. Einmal einen 4K-Ordner und einen HD-Ordner. Hier liegen also die gleichen Filme drin nur mit verschiedenen Auflösungen. Nun habe ich separate Bibliotheken pro Ordner erstellt (ich möchte diese beiden Bibliotheken strikt trennen). Das Problem: Die Sammlungen in den einzelnen Bibliotheken zeigen nun alles doppelt an. Sie greifen also auch auf die andere Bibliothek zu, was so sicherlich nicht gewollt ist. Wie lässt sich dieses Problem lösen? (bei Jellyfin ist es übrigens genauso )

@Lukewhen you have a moment, can you take a look at these logs please? Side note : embyserver log is not anonymizing the server IP. I had to manually remove it from the logs.

If you want to troubleshoot that, open new topic in respective forum, depending on your platform. How to Report a Problem TMM is an awesome piece of software.

The queries show up in the logs, if you want to try to optimize them and DM Luke with the changes. But I believe this is a feature change i.e. bringing in fuzzy search properly, because the simple fix of reverting the current fuzzy queries with word split will upset other people who have come to rely on that. And for the proper Fuzzy Search, I have already provided the docs of how to implement it here, just waiting for Luke to find the time to do it correctly.

I don't have huge library ~1600 movies and 417 Tv Shows. Emby not adding new items or changing, need to scan library manually or as Scheduled task. But I don't mind. As I now using TinyMediaManager, it's even better. For older show different sources have different metadata and need some time find correct one. Onbly Reordings works fine as have just 5-10 recordings.

Hello why subs start to display after some minutes of playing? Once subs are displayed, i can rewind back the movie to see the subs. I run with 1.0.50 and last beta. Also subs disapeared before the movie ends:

Any update on this issue? I tried also new server version 4.9.5.0 to no avail.

The splitting would be a simple filter - while I don’t mind the director, I’d be happy to lose that data if it meant there was a quick and easy way to block the rest of the junk.

Mmmm, even as of Luke’s 10th of May post, it seemed pretty clear this was about the type of data, not so much about to what subset, but yes, the word library would have been more appropriate given “collection” is an app specific term (collection of libraries just seemed verbose). For clarity: ANY and all libraries is what was meant.

Back in May, it looked like my domain was broken. I could still connect remotely in the Android app, however that works, but when I entered the domain in my web browser I got either an “Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.” error from my browser or an “SSL handshake failed” error from CloudFlare depending on whether I entered mydomain.com or www.mydomain.com. I could still get there with my IP address, though I was under the impression something in my NGINX config was supposed to prevent that. A few days later, having changed nothing, it started working again. I tried to access my server remotely last night using the Android app, and now that won't work. Entering my domain in a browser gets me a CloudFlare timeout error, entering my IP address gives me a browser timeout error. I have, once again, changed nothing. I had this issue back in December. I went through a bunch of troubleshooting steps, mostly switching things off in the Emby-NGINX-CloudFlare chain and then switching them all back on individually to see at what point it broke, and...it never broke. So I'm at a loss here.
