@sa2000Quick update before running the script. I experienced another OOM event again this morning, almost "exactly" five (5) days after the previous occurrence. As for my update history, prior to running Beta 4.10.0.15 I was running Beta 4.10.0.14. I updated to Beta 4.10.0.15 on June 18. I had the first OOM event on June 23. The next event occurred on June 25 followed by an event on July 3 and then again on July 8 (today). Here is the full chronology of my update history since the beginning of May 2026: I did not experience OOM events until updating to Beta 4.10.0.15. Unfortunately, I updated to DSM Version 7.4-90075 around the same time (June 16). So I can't rule out that the DSM update is not the issue. In all cases the OOM event occurred first thing in the morning after adding shows recorded from the previous night to the library. Upon initiating a library scan, memory usage by Emby jumped significantly (once doubling from 900MB to 2GB). That brings total system memory usage to 95% (approx.) Even if Emby does not automatically shutdown on it's own after this occurs, I have to shut it down forcefully as it does not release the memory and becomes unresponsive. I'm about to uninstall plugins before getting the script up and running. I'll post back as soon as I anything new to report!

I am with you. I wish the Apple TV app looked and worked like the Android app. Unfortunately, I don't think that will ever be the case, so I dusted off my old Nvidia Shield instead. I didn't even realize you could add rotten tomatoes ratings.

So TOS 7 stable is out now and for some reason if you try to do manual updates of Emby versions it wipes the config and you need to start over. Not sure if the issue lies on Embys end with TOS 7 or if it is a TOS 7 issue. Clearly this is not ideal as you want to be able to keep your library config and not need to start over every time there is a stable or beta update!

Hi everyone, just a quick update for anyone still interested in using the Embuary skin: I managed to get Embuary running on CoreELEC 21.3, and it is also compatible with the p3i T4b build. I also got the favourites working again, so the skin should now be much more usable on current CoreELEC/Kodi builds. My version includes several additional CPM features and improvements, including updated views, extra codec/media flags, HDR/SDR flag handling, Jellyfin-related fixes, Music OSD fixes, scrolling improvements and other small adjustments. To my knowledge the one command to rule them all does not install flatpak for Fedora, it should be installing native RPM packages. I was looking at the setup-dnf.sh script referenced by get.sh. Having said that, did you look at what the auto start entry you removed was actually for? It should create a systemd service emby-server.service which is completely independent of any browser launching, and it should be enabled by default I think.

I have already performed that test, but unfortunately it still does not work. I'm not sure how else to explain it: on my setup, despite the updates and all the troubleshooting I have done, the issue still persists. The authentication process never completes. For that reason, I will leave this topic open, not because I still need a solution for my own setup, but so that other users experiencing the same issue can find a working workaround. Otherwise, I would simply have closed the topic. As far as I'm concerned, the Kodi + EmbyCon + Trakt for Kodi solution works perfectly. My watch history is now synchronized correctly with Trakt, so I don't need to spend any more time troubleshooting this issue. For context, I work in IT and I'm also a streamer, so I'm very familiar with this kind of technology. I performed many tests before concluding that the problem is not caused by my configuration. I'm not saying it cannot work for other users, but in my environment the Emby Trakt plugin simply does not work correctly. The authentication process never completes, whereas the Kodi workaround works immediately. Thank you for your time and for investigating this issue.

I mostly agree. If you already have an old PC, it's often a much better value than buying a dedicated NAS. You get more processing power, easier upgrades, and better transcoding performance. The main advantages of a commercial NAS are lower power consumption, a smaller footprint, and simpler setup.

Hi, we only launch it on windows and macOS, so that's why you won't see that option on Linux. If it's launching with flatpak then it's likely due to the way we're declaring it in the flatpak manifest. Or it might be flatpak doing it and it's not even something we can control. We'll have to look into it. You could also try the native linux package for your platform, if we have one.

Hi, you haven't done any operations in Trakt yet after setting up the pin. Try doing something, such as running one of the scheduled tasks, or marking something as played or unplayed manually.

Setup in what way how? To do what?

I've mentioned before, I just use a laptop as my server and keep my files on a NAS in the basement. Laptop uses 15-20 watts of power, has a built in mouse and keyboard if needed, and a built in screen (mine is smashed but I paid less than $200 for it). My current server is an i5-1235u laptop with a smashed screen. Easy to tuck away, super power power, and quicksync is a beast when it comes to transcoding. They can be had for under $300 still on eBay, and sometimes less if you get one with a damaged screen like mine. The AI/Surveillance centre apocalypse has destroyed pricing sadly.
