Overview: Channels and reception
Channel identity and reception describe which programme service is selected and whether its delivered data are usable.
Selecting the intended service and receiving it correctly are separate stages. A lineup or service identifier supplies identity, while signal measurements and reception errors describe the actual delivery. This group keeps those stages visible when a channel is missing, mislabelled or unreliable.
